Imagine living your life not feeling safe in the same store as police officers sipping coffee. Who do these people call in a time of trouble? Would they be scared if they needed the help of the police?

Wouldn't they be trespassing? Why should the law be applied differently to them? If they don't have a warrant or a legitimate law enforcement reason to be there I'd say charge em with trespassing.

Sure and they would have had to call more cops to remove them. LOL

You think THAT is likely? It is possible, sure.. but not likely.

I work many morning hours per week in coffee shops (on my laptop and phone, sales rep), for 7 years.. I see police, sheriff, state troopers, etc. all the time. Nothing but respectful, decent, and for the most part, soft-spoken.

ETA: did you know that in a group, or a pair, one will ALWAYS have his eyes facing the door, or if two entry doors, then a pair of eyes on EACH door?

I see this each and every time. You know why, of course? Its for my safety, your safety, and their safety.

This was probably some sorta organized PR bullshite so Tempe cops wouldn't have to frickin' pay for coffee anywhere in the city anymore.

Cops are always finagling free shite. Here in New Orleans it's popeyes. I don't think a New Orleans cop has paid for popeyes fried chicken in 30 frickin' years.

That's an interesting thing to wonder. More to this may come out. It's strange to ask cops to just leave a business establishment, simply because someone requested it.

That bothers you?

I would be mad if my guys even went to Starbucks. We have a local coffee shop that loves the police and military. I support them

I figured the boot lickers would be in full force in this thread. Guess what? The leftists in Portland control the order taking cops. That's why they stand down during Antifa riots. They are order takers. They do what they are told regardless of whose ideology is in power.

What was the race of the officers?

Would have been epically ironic if they were black.

Do you feel crime is overreported or underreported in their community? There lays your answer.

Yeah, and those bakers should have charged the gay couple and the transvestite who wanted "specialty" cakes baked with trespassing too. After all, they are private businesses. See how that works?

Because they were polite and respected the private business’s decision. No matter how ludicrous.

Exactly.

Cops should have given the scared customer a taste of police brutality.
