That’s my thought. It’s about a foot in diameter. I agree it looks like desiccant. But if it came from a diaper, it was a huge diaper.

After a weekend trip, I had the misfortune to miss a spare diaper that had fallen out of its zippy pouch and was sandwiched between her clothes, which all went into the washing machine. It was truly disastrous. I kept wondering how all of this gel came out of a single diaper.

I made it up, every bit of it. I’ve not a smidgen of evidence that it’s even remotely possible.
But the point is if you have a bullshite story that is even the least bit plausible and tell it with confidence and panache, people will believe you.
The truth doesn’t matter, only the story.

probably from an busted ice pack that may have stuck to a tire... modern ice pack are usually not composed of frozen water but something like sodium polyacrylate polymer powder, it can absorb 100x its size in water and dries into a powder for easier transport.

I was totally about to text my dad and ask him if he had ever heard some shite like this. It did sound plausible. Certainly more than sky trees, cloud rocks, and space station algae growing in the absence of oxygen.
