You must be a yankee with this verbiage

First, what term do you use that encompasses the full range of pliers used in electrical work vs using dykes, lineman, combo, needle nose, chain nose and etc individually? Second, it is poor precision to use the word Channellock when you are comparing brands, which could be rather confusing.

Sharpen those shovels and stick em in a bucket of used motor oil when not in use. Keep em like they say they were born and twice as easy to use.

True but we don’t have anything close to global capitalism. We (USA) protect the world on our dime while enabling other countries (yeah I’m looking at you China) to artificially deflate and suppress wages forcing American businesses to offshore to their slave factories to compete.

That’s not capitalism in any means.

You can still buy tools like that, but they’re crazy expensive.

Most folks buy disposable tools at Harbor Freight.

I am 100% MAGA and Made in the USA, but tariffs do not usually work. The reason is, the tariffs raise the price of the imported goods and the local producers take advantage of the raised price and raise their price too. It only works if you can get the local producers to cooperate, and that is hard to do in a free market especially with essential goods.

Bought a new Klein tool on Wednesday. Was surprised to see that it wasn’t made in the USA

I was disappointed in the Milwaukee screwdriver set I got to be my daily drivers. The metal is soft and easy to round out screws with.

I picked up a Klein which seems better but still not great.

This is a great idea. I’m a woman, and I wish I had something like this from my dad and grandfather. Your kids will appreciate them.

"The dollar vote" principle is something most people never learn, and its a basic lesson of economics. The most democratic institution is a free market. We choose the future with our purchases.

You may not be able to get many quality tools made in the USA but you can still get quality tools.

Makita, Festool, Wera, and Hilti all consistently make good stuff.

A lot of old timers in the Baton Rouge and Houston areas have good tools because they stole them from the refineries they worked at.

Whatever you call our economic system, it's not unreasonable to argue that certain results are wrong and that we should strive to influence these results.

Super duper slippery slope.

People buy cheap stuff because of effective marketing or because they prefer to save money and don't value quality. Govt intrusion just exacerbates the issue.

.....and if the Harris - Biden Cabal gets in office they will tax you on the appraised value of those tools. How the hell do you think Biden et al plans to fund America's tax liability portion from this ridiculous Paris Climate Agreement? You know the same Paris Climate Agreement Biden intends to rejoin? The same Paris Climate Agreement President Donald Trump told the EU where to shove it.

Try the Wera 051024 Kraftform Kompakt 25 Pouch Set

KC Tool

You can usually get it a couple of dollars cheaper on Amazon.

Watch this video to see how it works, there are other more complete reviews that explain more of the features but this one is quick.

YT

When you wear the bits out replace them with Wera BDC Diamond bits or Wera Impacktor if you also use the Rapidaptor in a drill/driver.

Correct. If youre in a market for a camera, always find out if the plant is in Japan or China/Thailand.

Wera does make good stuff. I don't own any yet, unfortunately, but they are on my list.

The Makita Gold bits are the best I've used so far, but I only use them on my impact driver.

I rarely upvote or downvote, its for small minded dweebs but I did agree. Capitalism works best when people have more options. We choose to buy quality or we choose low prices.
