Oh now I see! Our area is still “evaluating”. 3 blocks east of your area.

Can see the food truck out my window. I saw Hambone was doing fried chicken yesterday. Cleaning out the fridge now.

Helping my uncle to clear a tree crossing the private road back to his house when this big, beautiful gump in an orange vest from Alabama cane driving down doing assessments. He said we should be back on in a couple of days. I can see a half dozen trucks working on Old Ponchatoula Highway.

Wouldn’t be surprising. They are planning to turn on the transmission lines later today. That should bring up at minimum 75% of Cleco and WSTE in Covington and Mandeville. They will then target the sporadic outages.

I really hope this is true.

Well, 10:20 came and went! No electricity. It's back to "evaluating," which honestly makes more sense.

The question is has anyone seen any linemen trucks and where.

Entergy was out in Madisonville with a ton of bucket trucks yesterday.

The only other comfort I can offer is that we saw literally hundreds of bucket trucks, trucks hauling generators of all sizes, and National Guard convoys coming in from the west as we drove to Houston.

Help is coming, and a shitload of it at that.

ETA: obviously no help to St Tammny residents necessarily, but there were also a shite ton of bucket trucks staging at the Hammond Mall as we drove thru. That interstate exit was backed up about half a mile with more bucket trucks getting off there.

Everything I’m hearing makes me optimistic that Covington/Mandeville will be up and running no later than Friday. If that’s true Bravo to all that are making it happen.

I'm hoping and praying for the best but this statement is 100% inaccurate and frankly, dangerous. From the post they hope to have power back up to several critical infrastructure sites, that's it.

To be fair, he may not be wrong. WSTE seems to think that as soon as the transmission lines go hot, which will happen today, 75% of power will be restored.

There is a crew of trucks and linemen in CCC. They were staged on Tchefuncte Drive around noon. I’ll look for them when I run out for gas later and post what I see.

This is everyone’s best bet.

Hoping 1085 corridor comes on tonight like projected. Lots of trucks on Jefferson ave & 8th street in Covington yesterday. The power lines on 1085 and 21 north of 12 all looks pretty good with almost so visible damage.

Residential Downtown Covington is pretty messy but crews are working.
