Still, completely different.... Suspect did multiple things that were witnessed by people leading up to this, multiple officers were on scene, and there was a weapon recovered.
Pretty cut and dry and easy to make a statement on.

I thought the cop is asserting he matched MB to the robbery leading to the 2nd contact. If so, Ferguson knew MB was involved in the robbery, no different that City knows this guy was.
Cop is saying he was assaulted by MB. This guy had a knife. Both, as I've learned, are justification for using deadly force.
City made a factual release of information without disclosing all of their details of the investigation. Ferguson didn't. The break Ferguson gets, is the City literally has more experience in such things.

And the officer who gave the PC is a little full of shite.... We all know he hurried to do the PC to prevent the crowd from getting out of control due to the tensions in Ferguson.
On a normal day, they wouldn't give the PC THAT quickly.

I get what 808 is saying about how it is handled and how things may have gone the way they did in part due to that information flow.
However, the key thing is that argument simply proves the point that some make that the protesters are not out for 'justice', just their preconceived notion of it.
Put another way, the argument is that if these people (protesters and such) knew immediately all the facts, this past 10 days would have not happened. To make that argument, you must conclude that these protesters are either too bias, ignorant, hateful or whatever to be able to process information over a period of time.
If all information on Sunday would have quelled, but spreading that over a week causes havoc - the statement is more about the abilities of those causing havoc then the cops in every way.
