yes it would be helpful if the media didn't further blur the line.

the dozen witnesses they are talking about was the "media" they had to shelter when the protesters opened fire.

Again, if police and/or media would just come out and acknowledge their presence it might at least deter them from joining the protest and reduce the incidents of violence. These people want the police to kill someone and further incite the situation. Pretending as if they don't exist is only empowering them

You likely heard right.
There are a lot of angry, easily led youth who have probably have no clue about the people they're encountering. I've been saying for days that these groups are attaching themselves to these kids and encouraging them to engage the police.

The guard just needs to cordon off the town. Nobody in, nobody out. Cut off basic services. Water, electricity, EMS, fire. Let them calm down. Then go back in.

Why does everyone act like year gas is some horrible third world tactic. Cops use tear gas after ncaa championships and Super Bowls.

It is telling to me when so many of those arrested were white. They are outsiders. Some white people from the STL may go up there during the day. Most white people in the STL are just fine staying far away and talking about it on the OT.

Watching all the streams and the news and still waiting on the camera to be put on a protestor that isn't a ranting, poorly spoken lunatic. The media keeps telling me that's pretty much all that is out there, but in all the hours of coverage I've watched, the only one I've seen is a former cop CNN found last night and was walking along with for a minute.
The dozens of others were the worst stereotypes imaginable.
