There is now. The game has changed whether they like it or not. It's within their authority to make the rules for protests.
The governor has granted that authority. It's not clear to me that that authorization would stand up in court.

Wife told me that Anon has been trying to hack into Mo Gov website all day. They had a meeting about what is on the computers and what isn't, as far as personal info goes.

Im sure we will find out. Seems like he exhausted many other less intrusive and disruptive measures. Whats reasonable at this point?

And the governor has that authority to do so. Thats the joy of this country and the separation between state and federal govt. When the state of emergency was signed, it opened up a whole new world for action to be taken. Its all legal no matter how much anyone wants to file their little lawsuits and such.

I'm tired of this argument, too.
80-some% of whites murdered are killed by other whites. But I would hope that we would protest an actual occurrence of police brutality against a white person (or black person). And we don't have to protest white on white crime to do so.
Of course this completely ignores the scale of the issue (blacks are 6 times more likely to be murdered then whites), thus pro rata it is comparing apples to oranges, particularly given the Black on white murder rate (14% of whites murdered are by blacks) which is on pace with 13% of the population being black. Again that percentage flipped (white on black compared to population is not in the same stratosphere). So yeah, not remotely close to the same thing (and I understand facts will draw you into a racism snide comment here).

? So should white folk be outraged now or not? If no, how is whether white folks protest an 'actual occurence' relevant to what is happening in Ferguson? If this is an actual occurrence of police brutality, have you been let down?
And I don't think everyone is saying you have to protest B on B to be able to protest police brutality. But when you hear the arguments ala Trayvon and here that it is not safe for blacks to walk the street because of the Zimmermans and Darren , while completely ignoring what is occurring thousands of thousands of times more often... hypocrisy is what it is.
Flame away as usual....

CNN's medical expert saying the injuries are consistent with the police officer's account of MB coming toward him. Short interview; but that's what he said. That'll piss some people off.

You put that way more eloquently than I could have.

Zimmerman is hispanic
When they are mixed and in trouble, they don't suddenly become white. He's Hispanic

Protesting the misuse of police authority under the color of law (whether or not it's actual in this case) is a completely reasonable response.
Do you feel if the officer was Captain Johnson in this case other than Darren Wilson that we would have had the same reaction? Have the arguments over the past weak been solely about the community and the police or has it been materially and significantly about race from day 1?
And yes I think if a young man was gunned down in cold blood in the middle of the street by a cop that would be outrageous and I would have great anger. Color of either be damned. But lets not be nieve and pretend this past week would have been remotely the same if we played mix and match on the colors of the participants. This is about way more then the community and cops - which is why the BonB crime argument is much more relevant and topical.
