Pretty sure the court records are "sealed" meaning they can't be used against the person, but I'm also fairly certain the police department keeps arrest records that, while not able to be used against the person, are on file unless there's a motion in the court system to have everything sealed and expunged. Knowing how this has been handled so far, if there was an arrest records for something like that, I'd fully expect for it to have been leaked.
Then again, I could be, and probably am 100% wrong. I'm just regurgitating stuff I've heard in the past with no real knowledge.

You'd be wrong. My main complaint has been that so much damage has been done over what was more than likely a justified shooting. That's what sucks about all of this.

It kind of sounds like it's leaking locally. Both reedus and slick have heard some stuff. I don't know what media outlet would run that. Maybe stormfront's website.

Police are still running communications departments with textbooks written prior to the internet. They have to change their communication paradigms.
