That's it. Not saying either way what happened, but it is not surprising at all that two reports differ like this.

I don't think anyone confirmed he didn't know at the time of the shooting, just that he didn't know when he at "initial contact". The third hand account says the officer heard the radio as he was pulling off. That would jive with the witnesses account of the officer returning to confront them by putting his car in reverse and almost hitting them.
Unless I missed the police chief coming out and giving out some more contradictory info.

This was something else that stuck out to me. She made the call before Chief Wiggum gave his press conference and disputed the possibility of the two incidents being related. Sure the story is different if the call is made afterward

No, I'm pretty sure it would be the same. Her story is corroborated by what the chief said.

They match up in the "initial" part. Other than that in no way is her story corroborated. They haven't told us anything about the actual conflict.
