Yeah, I know. Just wonder if this true, how everyone now feels about it.

There is a pattern that we have no control over, black people following JJ, AS and such instead of men of wisdom. Maybe it isn't the majority but it is the ones that get the most attention.

The only information people had was that a white cop killed a black, unarmed teenager. No other details.

That's because the media, being the race baiters they are, did what they do...

The protest would be to insure (from my perspective) that justice is done. People who hide things don't like public attention. The more attention you bring to a situation, the more likely the truth comes out.
That doesn't explain your claim that protesting early is good which is all I'm arguing against. Don't minimally change the details of your point just to avoid having to defend your original statement.

If MB was white would there have been any riots?

Probably not. I do wish that protests were held for Jack Wrana. For Christopher Roupe. For Kelly Thomas (they were). For Luis Rodriguez. Maybe white people need to protest more. Not black people protest less.

That's exactly the same thing I'm saying there. How did I change my argument?

Protesting brings a situation to light. Great. Do it. It's important. It helps hold people accountable.

Protesting immediately turns into this shite. You have yet to provide a good reason or example that this is beneficial.

It's basically about the "white people" vs. the "black people" response...

so, yes.

I think the unemployment rates have a lot to do with this.

Also, you need a concentrated amount of people.

Which is why it is going to take a lot of investment by educated individuals in areas where these kids are living in homes like that. It may be spending a couple of hours helping a kid learn to read, or coaching a sports team, or a multitude of other things. Kids are where the change will begin.

My wife and I have two elementary age kids in our area that come from a horrible home. Mom is a crack head, killed her ex boyfriend in front of my house and treats her kids like crap.

When we met them we focused on investing in them and doing things their mother wouldn't do. After a year they were completely different kids. Attitudes changed, desires changed, they started performing better in school.

Kids in most inner city homes are neglected of the basic needs to grow up and be successful in life. We can either continue on as normal, or purpose to try and make a difference.
