BS.
Look at the response on TD when a shooting in BR or NOLA happens. When it's BvB, the response are "Typical", "But he was a good boy, never done nuffin wrong", or "Bet he voted for Obama".

Chandler Loupe's kid gets shot at a drug deal gone bad and the responses were "He was a good kid, from a good family, who made a terrible decision".

Whites care about race more than you want to admit. Or are willing to admit.

IMO you are correct!

Sooo...you're saying that people with a family can't protest things they perceive as unjust? I can't go protest what I perceive as a constitutional violation because my family is more important?

It's the middle of the night and people are rioting, burning down buildings, looting. The last thing I would do is leave my children at home during that situation. I merely am remarking on the priorities of these assumable "lawful" protesters.

Kind of like cops protecting each others, right?

No, completely different. Protecting criminals is not only wrong, it's foolish.

There are two sides here.

People who know there IS a double standard, and

People who don't believe there is a double standard.

Here is an experiemnt.
Get a white guy and a black guy.
Release them both in either EBR or Jefferson Parish.
Give each a weed pipe and a half of a gram of pot.

I will bet that the white guy gets a summons to appear, and no cuffs and then gets a fine and unsupervised jail time. (with a court appointed)

I will bet the black guy is booked, held then released after paying bail. Then gets 6 months supervised probation in court, if he is lucky.

I have seen this EXACT scenario happen more than once.

It's sad, but it DOES happen. People who say it doesn't are the people who have no idea.

@TheAnonMessage: We have video of Mike Brown's body being shoved into the back of a PD SUV. No EMS was on the scene at all as we first thought. #Ferguson

Cool, I was thinking at the least just a couple of pics by the arch and stop for lunch or dinner.

Cool. Should be fine. And there's lots of great places to eat.

And why is that? IMO there are no more "civil rights leaders" with a single focus. There are shite stirrers that have a list of 400 things they want fixed and nothing gets done.

, is that even possible and is there any legitimate reason to do that if true?

We saw the body in the street for a while. I know that people other than medics on a ambulance can determine and announce death. The body is to remain undisturbed until someone from the coroner's office must pronounce death. At that point it is necessary for the coroner's office to do an autopsy. What official vehicle carries the body to the coroner's office may very well be a LEO vehicle.

NO, a big NO. The white community does not have to protest to get justice. When is the black community going to realize they too can get justice without protesting, protesting before the facts are all in?

Disagree, nothing wrong with protest even if it's before to get some eyes on their local justice system and police to force them to handle it correctly. Riots on the other hand are ignorant and do nothing but make the people they are tied to look like thugs also in my opinion.
Just to clarify, I know some are protesting correctly in this case.

What would the police chief do about black on black crime?

What are you talking about? They are protesting the police shooting an unarmed person. That is the "reason" for their lawful protest. If that is the reason for the protest, they should be protesting the institution during the daylight hours where it matters.

I was having this conversation with a black coworker of mine. He's 10 years younger than me. He asked me, "How many times have you been handcuffed sitting on the ground while police searches your car?" I said "zero." He said, "Exactly. It has happened to me 8 times." He has no felony record, has a college degree and makes a really good living. To deny the racial disparities in policing and police outcomes is to be simply willfully ignorant.

I think you're confused about what was being discussed. We were discussing the need for protests for black on black crime. I asked where they should protest that.
