It is incredibly naive to believe that police across the US won't cross the line time to time. I'm not sure what is a "reasonable" amount of collateral damage.
Ahha, you get it. All I can add is due to low pay and the kind of person that is drawn to these LEO positions we cannot expect very intelligent decisions. I don't support it. I simply understand the situation and see no cure for it.
Therefore we have the best system available. Without these doughnut eating dog killers we would be in a literal world of shite.

Its probably a little tougher than Somalia, but I'm sure we could find a way to get you into North Korea or Cuba. Clearly you would absolutely love the "safety" that comes with living in either of those places
Why would you say that??

Here's my problem. I get there are going to be bad cops just like there are bad everything else. As I see it, people are too accepting of it though. There has to be better training, higher hiring requirements, and a zero tolerance policy. Secondly, there has to be more accountability when they do cross the line. As far as how they handle matters, I view cops and priests about the same. A vast majority are good. A few are pedophiles or like to cross the line and beat the shite out of someone. Both like to hide and cover up their wrong doings and let them continue diddling little kids or shooting unarmed kids.

Telling ya. He's gonna be the one to stand in front of that tank. He'll win the city in a landslide.

Because you are clearly in favor of living in complete and total fear of the police, and that is not what America is about. And those 2 countries do it better than America does

Sad thing is, police will get more and more brazen, and crowds will get more and more bolder as this thing continues on.

This. We need to get to the root of the problem rather than protest the end game.
Most people are out here rioting for this cop's head, when they should be more concerned with why these things happen in the first place.
*Assuming this was in fact a police brutality case.

Johnathan Gentry gets it. This guy is spot on. I wonder how many blacks feel the way he does. Page 93 of this thread. Sorry I can't get the link to post.
