Man when that thing flooded, shite was real.
One day I saw 3 vehicles pulled into that thing by the water. One being a little convertible we never saw until the waters started going down.

Way past due. One should not be required to travel through a ghetto to obtain a Catholic education.
What do you think Southeast LCH is gonna be in 10 years?

I lived on bank street growing up. I woke one morning and looked out my window. The was cop car with his lights on under water on my corner.

BBQ pits to car ratio is high in that power center area rat now.

Looking at and listening to the parents from St. Louis at the St. Louis/STM basketball game Tuesday night, I'd say that its about right where it should be. It seems like a Lake Charles version of LCA.

my dad actually pulled a Borden's milk truck driver out with a rope after he made the mistake of getting too deep in his truck. Early 60's I think.

I’m worried a nomex-wearing 4-wheeler gang is gonna hold me down and put Copenhagen in my lip every time I have to go over there.

Do you mean the area with tons of new development? Do you really think Morganfield is going to be ghetto in 10 years? The place with the nice new city golf course? There are homes and areas around Morganfield that rival the Nelson to Prien Lake area in value. There are also areas around Morganfield that are gentrifying and still taking all of that into account you think it will be ghetto in 10 years?

I apologize if I’ve offended you or your new D. R. Horton home. I’m sure the 3-year roof looks great.

I live downtown and not close to anything resembling a DR Horton home and I also know the market way better than you. Anyone saying that area will be a ghetto in 10 years doesn't have a clue.

I’ve never felt the Eastern development would hold its value. Considering the demographic building there, price and quality of homes being built, and the trends of LCH, I think undesirables will be attracted out that way. I understand many are doing well building and selling now.

Bookmarked, see you in 10 years.
And they’re not putting the course out there because it’s the frickin Brentwood of LCH. Chennault needed Mallard (shithole) and where the hell else are you gonna put a course?
Posted on 3/4/21 at 9:11 pm to AmosMosesAndTwins
Morganfield will and does have more than just DR Horton track homes. There are other huge tracks of land out there that will come into development too. No doubt it's a different purchaser than what you will find down by Nelson Rd but it's not far off from the type of developments that have been happening in Moss Bluff for years. Throw in a new golf course and now St Louis and that area is going to flourish even more.

You truly have no idea what you are speaking of.

It doesn't matter why they are putting it. All that matters is that it's there.

Literally anywhere else. There are tons of options of where they could have put it. This wasn't the last resort option.

Had a T G & Y Five and Dime down the street and a T G & Y Family Center a few blocks away. Man they were great stores.

It’s not just SLC that’s in the hood there. EDS and Hamilton Christian School are too. I think HCS is moving to the Morganfield area as well. It’s kind of funny that the houses facing EDS are pristine with well manicured yards, but you look directly behind that house and you enter the projects.
