I don’t understand.
Everyone one I talked to about schools in StG pretty much said they don’t want Brayden or Makayla going to school with Tyrone or Latisha.
That’s just my experience.

St George isn't Southeast BR either.
This is the most basic element that some ppl just can’t wrap their head around. TBR and SWB did their work well repeating lies over and over to the point ppl believed it.
I can’t tell you how many intelligent and well-meaning ppl were totally surprised when I explained this simple fact to them. If all you saw were commercials and the news you’d never know.

That's your experience that you've created in your own brain.
It's a fiction.

Yep. "Breaking away" from something that you were never a part of to begin with. It's been interesting to hear this argument over and over.

Not really. I’ve lived here all my life and have multiple roots in many different areas. Most of them that want StG are pretty racist.
Why else would this “movement” exist?
We are fine, we don’t need or hurt for anything in BR. We are kings compared to the other parts of the parish/city.

FIFY.

That is funny when it is literally SE BR.

BR schools don't leave anything to be desired? I'd like to have some of what you are smoking. The only non magnet HS that didn't receive a F grade last year was Woodlawn which got a C. This is your shining accomplishment EBRPSS
Would you send your kids to Tara HS? A lot of people in STG are zoned for Tara. It's our district.
Tara is a F school with something like a 45% graduation rate in an otherwise nice part of the city.

I'm sure you believe this thoroughly.
Still smells like a giant pile of steaming bullshite.

Racism is valuable.
Pro StG people bought into it hook line and sinker.
Yea better together, one BR, and leaders of the city of BR never played the race card...
You bought into their play to keep StG sales tax under city of BR's control hook line and sinker.
And while they did not need by law to form a city for legislators to put school district amendment on a ballot when Senators on committee shooting down putting school district on ballot tell you forming a city could help sway votes they did it.
After trying to form the SE BR school district by itself & taking Senators' advice the first attempt with forming city covered most of same area before signature deal didn't allow a vote (not sure what BR annexed by then), and the attempt that passed used info from first attempt to cut out areas that had shown less support
& of course also what BR annexed (still not sure why BR hates Gardere so much to keep leaving them out of the annexation parties). So while not necessarily needed by letter of the law the forming of city is related to forming a school district in StG's case. I think over the years supporters also gained an appreciation of how they would be better off incorporated and also in control of sales tax dollars collected in StG just like BR is for same sales tax collected within BR.

Apparently you have never looked at a map of the city limits either.

Racism is valuable.
No one cares if you’re black or white or yellow or red or blue.
Ignorance, poverty, and crime are not bound by any race inherently. And escaping that culture is not unique to any one race.
Choosing to hide behind racism and ignorance instead of confront the problem is as pathetic as it is evil.

Lol
I am not hiding behind anything. Just stating my experiences. Mine not yours. I’m not calling anyone specific here a racist, just the ones I’ve conversed with in the wild. It’s pretty true rather you want to believe it or not.
Maybe those here are not, fine good for you, but the whole of who I’ve spoken to are pretty sus
Prove me wrong

Where are you meeting all of these random open racists who have no problem spewing open racism in public to strangers? Do you expect us to believe you found a pocket of Baton Rouge that mimics Deliverance?
You have now said at least three times in this thread that, on the whole, everyone you talk to about St George mentions they don’t want their kids in school with black people and want St George formed as a white haven free from minorities?
You expect me to believe that?
