that would be a great trip
I'd have to have a bigger cabin, that looks like some cramped quarters

they probably do that a week or two at a time during shrimp season so are probably pretty used to it

Friend of mine is on his third great loop right now. Every picture he sends me I tell him to F off! Haha. I’m so jealous!

I’ve been told a canoe can’t navigate the MS and that even a jon boat can’t make it. Is that not correct?

Is having to double back like that part of the “loop”? Genuinely curious.

We always took the Glastron with the 85 Evinrude out on the Mississippi. Sandbar hopping, swimming and catfishing.
Not a big deal.
Canoeing would be interesting.
Fishfighter (RIP) regularly hit the Mississippi in a jonboat. Posted lots of OB pics motoring around the Audubon Bridge with a boatload of catfish.

Yeah. But they didn’t have pfd’s or air horns.
Wouldn’t fly today.

Plenty folks canoe source to see on the Mississippi
I've watched many youtubes about it.

You can look at their map and know when she was driving

Although not on a boat and limited to waterways, owning an rv or towable trailer/fifth wheel allows a similar adventure. Drive wherever you want, see some beautiful sights, stop wherever you like for however long, always having your whole bedroom, kitchen and bathroom with you, no suitcase hauling every day, etc.

Those are the options you have for paths. You don't have to do circles around.

The amount of geniuses ITT that see The Loop map and think that's their actual route is staggering, yet unsurprising in the least.

Craziest part of this story, a couple of Delacrot’s:
