It won't be a mooj that porks her first. It will be the only other english speaking person within her group in Dubai. And you might as well call "Game Over" now if he's British

Buddy, quit trying to fight the facts (based on your other thread).

Correct me if I am wrong with the following facts:

FACT - You guys have been engaged for a couple of months (ENGAGED, not dating).

FACT - She wants to advance her career (nothing wrong with that)

FACT - BUT she wants to advance it for 6 months in a middle eastern country.

FACT - She springs this crap on you out of left field.

FACT - She doesn't think it is a big deal.

In my opinion, the absolute worst thing you can do is try to talk her out of it because you will be screwed the rest of your life with all the "what if's" and "I should have....".

I feel bad for you dude (seriously) but let it go and move on. She may come back to you but don't lay around waiting for that.

Listen to the Captain above, he is right and i know it isn't what you want to hear but it has happened to almost everyone of us.

Ask yourself this. If she goes over without you you know she is going to frick someone else so do you really want her back after that? If you take a women back after that you are forever her bitch and she knows she can do anything to you and you will sit there and take it.

Put it behind you and roll out.

The only thing you can do at this point is to just call her and tell her you are not cool with taking a break and you are out. She will not care because she has her mind made up that she wants to frick other people but at least you are making the decision on what you want for your life and it puts you in control of you , not her. frick her!

The wife and I did when we had been dating for about a year or 2.

When didn't call it a break, we broke up. Dated other folks, then ended up back together about 6 months or so later.

We hung out and hooked up the whole 6 months though. That was 6 or 7 years ago. Happily married for 3 years now.

Ditto. Both were unhappy, dated other people for 8 months or so before gradually getting back together.

Thanks. You're right--not what I want to hear but helpful nonetheless.

I'm no spring chicken. In my mid (arguably late) 30s and have never felt for a woman what I do for her. She's so smart and just a genuinely interesting person to be around, something that I've never found in Baton Rouge. I've never met a girl that I'm actually proud to show off to my friends and colleagues.

My fear is that I move on, never find someone like her, and one day regret that I didn't do everything I could to make it work.

A relationship is always moving in one direction or another. Either forward or backward. A break is moving backward.

Yes in 2 prior relationships, yes, 6, 12 months, yes. Broke up after another year or so.

A better question is did you take a break or break up for any significant time, reunite and are still with the person. Seems like in 95% of the cases it's "no" meaning the makeup/breakup cycle usually doesn't work out.

When my gf, now wife, had been living together for about six months, she started talking about getting her own place closer to campus.

My response: do so with the knowledge I'll have had three slutty exes in here by tomorrow.

She didn't move out, we've been together 6 or seven years since then.

Some of us live in reality. Let me guess, your little buttercup didn't rail multiple guys during your break

You can't look at it that way. You have to ask yourself, "what do I deserve"?

What if you sit around waiting for her and miss out on an awesome girl that wants to be with you instead of hanging out with other people in Dubai.

Every one of us have been in a similar situation in our lives. Its her life so let her go live it. I obviously don't know her and she may be going there simply to advance her career but that is highly doubtful. Are any guys from work going with her or is there a guy that she already knows that will be there with her? If so I would guess that she probably wants to spend time with someone that she works with and possibly has more in common with due to the fact that they have similar work interests.

Im not saying she is a shitty person, its just life. All i'm saying to you is don't get put in the corner for anyone. Go life your life and if she somehow comes back into then that may be ok but don't live your life waiting for her to come back.

Cut it clean and let her go do her thing. I can promise you this. If she leaves to go there and you spend all of your time emailing and calling and wondering what she is doing you will not have a shot.

Tell her to have fun and stay in touch. Be sparse with the e-mails or responding too quick to her emails, texts or calls. Live your life like you could be with her or without her but don't wait for her or you will push her further away.

I wish the best for you.

I have a friend that went on a break from her boyfriend for 4 years. They eventually got married but I think she is really unhappy with him. But is in too deep with 2 kids to do anything about it. I personally think he is a loser. I think she agrees.

Just break up.

There's no law saying you can't revisit it in 6 months and see where you both are at.

But break up. Move on and have fun. Date people. See what else is out there.

If she comes back and you both want to get back together, then give it a shot. No big deal and it might have been good for your relationship.

But do not go in with the expectation that you will get back together. Don't wait.

You should probably tell her this and not us. Is there any way that you can go with her? It's only 6 months. If she is really all that to you, then tell her what you're thinking and what you want. If you're not on the same page, it isn't going to work no matter where she is. If you are, then 6 months is a small price to pay.

I'm sure she did. I'm willing to bet she also wasn't a virgin the first time we had sex. Like I said, we split up and dated other people. If she were gagging on cock every weekend during that time, it was non of my goddamn business.

If my wife came to me tomorrow and said she ad the opportunity to further her career but it involved her moving to another country for 6 months, I would trust her. I wouldn't be thrilled about it, but I would trust her.

She's a human being dude, not a dick hungry savage. She's fully capable of going away for work without fricking every guy in sight.

I'm starting to think this place is chock a block full of a bunch of insecure little man children who aren't capable of a functional relationship with anything other than a need little girl with daddy issues.

Tear up as much arse as you can while she is gone. If you have social media, delete the accounts so you don't send her drunk dear Betty bullshite at 2 am. Make her wonder what the hell you are doing. If you stand your ground and live your life correctly she will see what she is missing, respect YOU and will blow you instantly upon arrival back in the land of the free and home of the brave. Stay strong, brave warrior.
