Spiders are tastier but roaches are more nourishing

I cannot handle roaches. Like at all. I can't squish them and I can't be around if someone does.. both the sight and the sound get me.
Spiders are whatever.

When we were younger my older brother and I were in the storage room rummaging around. Our hunting gear was in there so he picks up the duck call to blow it. Get half a squawk out when his eyes get big as saucers. There was a big wood roach in it that literally ran halfway down his throat, then turned around and came back up. He ran into the house and started gargling with scalding hot water. Funniest shite ever. Moral, look twice before you blow that duck call. I know I do.

Another story...
I typically listen to music on my iphone while i mow my grass in one of those workout iphone carriers strapped to my arm. Well, i go to mow the grass one morning. Got everything all set up, filled up the lawnmower with gas, checked the oil, etc... I strap my iphone on to my arm and put in my earbuds. As i'm walking the self propelled Honda mower to the starting point in the front yard, i feel something in my ear. I remove the earbud and stick my finger in my ear, thinking it was dirt or something. I retract out a tiny spider in my ear. Needless to say, the next 10 minutes were spent pouring water in my ear and doing whatever i can to ensure this beast did not spawn into my ear.
So a Tip: Always blow out your earbuds before inserting into your ear.

Absolutely roaches, hands down, far and away, etc...
frick them. Everything about those pieces of shite is disgusting. The way they walk, the way they fly, even the way they die when you spray them.

I can tell most of ya'll have never had a real spider problem
We had a brown recluse infestation about 4 years ago, and it was horrible.
Every night, I'd kill 3 under my daughter's bed, a few in the closet, and a few in the boys' room.
Then I'd do the same in a few other places.
It took about a year to get it under control.
As I type this, season is about to start again.
fricking Ozarks

When I went to Kenya years ago I got up at 2 am to go to the bathroom. As I'm sitting on toilet I notice a massive spider(very similar to the one above and even bigger) sitting on the wall right above the door to the bathroom. I am frozen in fear. I have my hand to my mouth to stop from screaming cause I don't want to wake everyone else in the house up. I only have flip flops on my feet so nothing to throw at it. So I just stare in fear for what seemed like forever, just praying the thing didn't jump, until the spider crawled off to a large crack in the wall.
I had been complaining about the mosquito nets you had to sleep with on your bed before that night. Rest of trip I was thankful for them...kept huge spiders from getting on you while you slept.

This.
I don't give a shite about snakes, spiders, scorpions, you name it.
If I see a big roach I'm biting the pillow in the corner of the room until its dead.

Within minutes, the whole house is filled with dead roaches. They didn't make it that far. I spent an hour sweeping up dead roaches into a dustpan. It was about 200 roaches. I counted them.
I went to crawl in bed later that evening and when I laid my head down there was a roach crawling on the bed.
Yeah there's no way in hell I'd be sleeping in that house after that

the wood roaches aren't even bad. They live outside. The little small german ones are the ones that bother me...also means the place is dirty as hell

We have so many wolf spiders so I hope that's why I haven't seen a brown recluse.

I hate to bring religion into this, but I'm a pretty faithful Christian. The only thing that makes me question my faith is the existence of roaches, and to add to it, their ability to carelessly fly.

Sophomore year of college me and my buddy had to walk way out into the woods at night to go talk to one of our teacher's friends and while we're talking to him, my buddy nudges me and points up. I look up and there's probably 500 spiders the size of cows climbing down towards us. I figured our teacher's friend would call them off but that SOB sicked those jokers on us! We would have been toast but luckily our car showed up and we were able to high tail it out of there just in time

Yeah, but the wood one's or water bugs that I call roaches also are so grrrooooosssss. That's what we usually get during summer months. I think there is the regular American cockroach and the German one. I've never had the smaller German one's but we get the occasional regular bigger red one's and that's when bug man comes out. Had a couple last year for the first time in several years. Those big water bugs are the one's that will freak me out though.

Saw something move across my kitchen floor earlier. Didn't know if it was a dust ball or a roach.
If you're seeing things in your peripheral vision such as bugs, threads, or worms and then they are gone when you turn to look at them head on, it might be that they weren't really there and instead you are experiencing partial seizure-like symptoms.

I think we can all agree the worst situation to see a roach is when you are laying in bed and look up and it's on the ceiling right above you. I mean, it's kinda sitting there holding you hostage. You can't leave b/c you need to make sure it won't fall on bed and you damn sure can't knock it off or it will fall on bed. All you can do is wait, just wait.

I have yet to see one single roach since moving from Uptown NOLA after Katrina.
