Sounds like you need to opt for driving school.

I had two over 28 mph. Everyone was young once right?

145 in a 55 (arrested, license taken, car impounded)

105 in a 70 (license taken)

Got out of both of them just by paying a fine and they didn't go on my insurance. This was 15 and 20 years ago. I drive like a grandpa now.

In alabama that is a reckless driving deal. technically a felony, and you lose your license for a year i think? good luck, bud.

Well that's not stupid knee-jerk redneck legislation at all. No-siree.

My ticket there was 17 over. I called and talked to them. They had me send the ticket along with a Money Order and I never had to go to court.

Anything over 20 of speed limit goes from a citation to a misdemeanor, outlaw.

In Jefferson parish lawyers will get any speeding ticket moved to s min moving violation. Just have to lawyer up.
.I use Stanley Kotterman for jp tickets. Usually cheaper than the ticket itself.

Also. There is NO reason, NO reason at all Earhart is 50mph. It's limited access and you have to enter or exit it. I'm convicted Earhart exists to get money from speeders.

Trooper stopped me on 190 coming home from Florida- 82 in a 55 (construction) $277 but they waived the court appearance since I’m from out of town. When I asked how to keep it off my record, the lady said ‘put a sticky note on the money order reminding me to make it non-moving

For 28 you’re probably not getting that off you’re record tbh. Only hope is your record being clean and having a good judge. Unless Jefferson is one of those places that just doesn’t give a shite as long as you pay the fine.

ETA: reading over the thread I didn’t realize the article plea you could do.

I’ve had multiple tickets in Louisiana (I drove like a clown in college) and we’re able to get them off but they were all for under 20 over. Most of the time I just went in and talked to the receptionist with the money in hand and they dropped it down right there.

You’re lucky he didn’t write you for reckless operation as well. Anything over 25mph the listed limit can be week less op. Bring your wallet to court.
