Driving to work this morning and not paying attention to speed, all of a sudden blue lights in the rear view.

LA State trooper got me in Jefferson Parish.

78 mph in a 50 mph zone.

How screwed am I? Any ways to reduce/ tips?

Bend over baby.

Every ticket I have had, I have called and told them I am happy to pay the fine, but is there anything I can do to keep the ticket off my record.

I don't have any tickets on my record.

DISCLAIMER - I has also never had a ticket going more than 20 mph over

Did he write you for reckless? Because that’s 25mph over in Louisiana.

In alabama that is a reckless driving deal. technically a felony, and you lose your license for a year i think? good luck, bud.

If you were in Baton Rouge, you wouldn't have this problem.

There are attorneys that do this. Usually between 50-100 bucks.

Did not take drivers license or issue reckless driving.

Just speeding.

How long do you have to wait to call the DA typically?

Someone going 78 in a 50 does it more than a one time accident.

If you go over 15mph in Jeff Parish, you gotta go to court. It’s bullshite money making stuff. I went two years ago for 41 in a 25. They knocked it down to a non moving violation and I paid some fees.
