Are these things for real? I’ve never heard of someone getting a ticket from this.

They’re horse shite.

The cop on the ground that you deal with isn’t even the cop that tracked your speed.

He’s acting on hearsay from another person.

They are for real but normally when I see the sign posted I accelerate and hang my arm out the window with one of these

Jeep don't tell me you don't slow down and hide the wacky weed when you see the airplane flying above?

Got a ticket in Virginia from those cocksucker pilots. They radio in to a ground unit who waits an exit ahead for you

I vaguely remember the highest speeding ticket in La being aircraft enforced.

Also another legend is about a ticket being thrown out because there was no way the motorcylce could do the speeds that were reported.

Yeah they basically just time you from one point to the next and calculate the speed.

It is completely BS though

you laugh but the only time I got pulled over with weed in the car it was a br cop I knew pretty well from bartending and doing live drinking.

He laughed, told me to not drive with it, and followed me home since it was right after work closed.

Imagine how much cost of fuel, cost of pilot, cost of lookout man with stopwatch, and cost of ground cop total...!!!

What a large investment of time, effort, and resources for a relative small return in fines.

Your government at work for you again...

I'm surprised states like Florida don't just deal out speeding tickets when they can tell exactly how long it takes to get from one particular toll booth to another.

That really does not matter at the time you are ticketed.

It does if you want to actually face your accuser In court.

The cop who writes the ticket is who goes to court. Not the cop who tracked your speed.
