I do not have any... 30 years of work at a large corporation where HR pushed diversity for diversity sake every year.

Opressed people sure do have enough money for corporations to market to them.

If Republicans have all the money, then why do commercials and campaigns trend to minorities, trans/gay, etc.?

White people are perpetuators of black, brown, gay, trans, queer and non-binary genocide.

I can think of many examples of people with diverse backgrounds helped companies with revenue.

Why would any company want a bunch of people that think alike?

I had a finance professor who once told the class, "It doesn't matter if the 'diverse' applicant is less qualified than another, the applicant who adds diversity to the workplace should always get the job, as it is proven to increase revenue."

A black girl in the class who clearly didn't buy into his BS then raised her hand and asked for an example of this hiring strategy working as he stated. He told her, "Many companies. Across America. Just look in Forbes."

Even some of the more liberal members of the class were dumbfounded

It's almost as though it's a faith-based belief system...

Careful. Someone may ask you to prove that this is the case by asking you to give merely a few of your "many examples."

I mean, after all, this thread is about "specific examples."

What's funny is the ppl pushing it (HR, etc) will be first to go.

Technical roles, etc need ppl who know their shite regardless of color.

The token hires will be in HR, Marketing, etc

But that’s not what happens and you know it.

If you have a team made up of a black man, an Asian woman, a Hispanic lesbian and a white gay man that all devoutly believe in Scientology and all graduated from Yale, are they actually diverse?

If it was real diversity...hiring intelligent Koreans, Indians, Japanese. Swedish...it would really work. Having a black director hire 6 guys who were in his fraternity is fricking bullshite for diversity.

Currently working with an Indian engineer on a project that saved the client $400k annually

I don't really feel the need to list all of them.

Again...its weird to me to think that people would want everyone to think alike.

Complex problems often require diversity of thought.

The point of diversity isn’t to increase revenue. It’s about representation and equity. Equity is not defined like you think it is. Critical theorists are using the word differently.

Was the engineer hired because he/she was Indian or because he/she was the best candidate for the job?

I’d think if a company was truly hiring the objective “best” candidates, over time, you’d wind up with a diverse group organically anyway. No need to try to manipulate diversity by hiring less qualified employees.

This does not explain how the diversity contributed to corporate earnings. Did the Indian engineer provide some kind of engineering insight which would only be capable from someone of Indian decent? Would a white or black engineer not be capable of bringing the same insight?

Also, do we assume a white, black or brown people think differently based solely on the color of their skin? That sounds racist
