I keep hearing the same thing over and over again. What is wrong with kids these days? It seems to me that there is always an excuse. ADD, ADHD, etc. Never the parents fault. You are the parents. Not their bff's. Act like it. Just saying.

There’s this happy medium between beating your kid into submission and being their BFF. I like to think I fall into that area and it’s turned out well for me.

Yes, all of the world's problems stem from the lack of people spanking their kids. There is no other disciplinary action that works.

This mindset leads to a lot of shithead kids who think the world revolves around them.

Beating your kid? Yes, trashy. But spanking is essential

Plenty of parents out there are idiots. They are usually the ones with a discipline problem.

If the parents set a good example they end up with good kids, it really is as simple as that. Some kids deserve a spanking but it should be a last resort punishment, there’s much better ways to teach them not to be shitheads.

Ive read the proper interpretation is rod meaning guidance and sharing wisdom. This has nothing to do with corporal punishment. More like s Shepherd guiding his flock with a staff.

The problem isnt so black and white as people think. Spanking works on some kids but not on others.

My kids dont respond to it at all so I dont really do it. Its all about finding what motivates your children.

I'll spank. But not "beat". you have to have discipline in some form.

funny how it's always the parents who spank their children that have all of the behavioral problems with them... it's like hitting your kids is related to behavioral problems or something

This is the sad reality of the world we live in today.

Every child is now diagnosed with something. Every child grows up a victim. Every parent has an excuse, and a cause.

All I have to do is tell my kid she is punished and she cries and gets straight for a month. She acts like I killed 3 kittens a bunny and burned down Disneyland from mere words. Actual punishment lasts a day tops.

People are dumb

I agree. Dads who don’t take their kids fishing are doing them a disservice
