If you've ever worked with the spanish, most of them have "time off" as a very loose term. They get time off for time off. They leave work early. They take long lunches with lots of wine. They show up at the crack of 9a. They have no concept of deadlines or due dates. They take it easy on days that in in "Y" such as mondaY, tuesdaY...

They likely won't be missed. Aren't most Spaniards sleeping through the workday?

Well personally I have a wife and 2 daughters. When they are all synced up, I want to be at work! Definitely not home. But golf course works too.

They’re also giving amnesty to around half a million illegals.

You give Spaniards paid time off for their periods.
Spain doesn’t pay for its own national defense.

lol so they get off 1 week a month, they take a siesta after lunch and they leave work at 3 or 4.... Do they ever get anything done?

Probably why they have such a better healthy life expectancy than the US.

We do make a lot more money though

I think you can admit this, but also admit that some amount of productivity is good for a culture and a society.

Matching de-prioritization of work/productivity with cratering birth rates is a really bad combo.

Oh well. I least Spain is doing what is in their apparent self interest.

The good news is for married moms is they can choose to stay home full time in America.

My sister-in-law is a Spanish citizen and her dad's side of the family lives there. She's wonderful. So there's that.
