Blue Origin is ahead of SpaceX with the simplified lander.

They have just a non human rated prototype with the Mark 2 expected to not be available till after 2030. Development of the additional tug and tanker is all on paper, and are fundamentally independent from the design of the lander whereas the equivalent in SpaceX proposal are all minor derivatives or the same base design.

You are just ignorant on everything science, aren’t ya? Just bored because Hantavirus scare headlines have quieted down I guess

Starship continues to have enough success to keep the HLS charade going, and enough failures to guarantee China makes it to the moon before we can get there again.

Am I the only person in Tigerdroppings who has exactly zero interest in this? Or just about anything else that Musk does?

Can't say that I have tons of interest, but I do find it fascinating.

This guy is worth more than half the world combined and he still works super had on his endeavors. It's a travesty to ignore someone like this efforts, probably because of some silly political differences.
Like him or not, he is a generational person who just might end up doing some massively incredible things for humanity.
Would you rather he pimp some genocidal vaccines or push plant based foods?

That explosion had to be expected with all that fuel still on board.

Multiple camera shots of the landing spot in the ocean?

That was so cool

Also... only 2 engines lit on the landing burn & it still did the flip successfully

Yes... it's a designed explosion to make sure it sinks to the bottom of the ocean

All expected

Yep. Unreal engineering. And look at all these really young people who are getting this shite done. Elon knows how to motivate and get the right people on this stuff. These images of the dodger dog leaving are cool as frick.

Maybe. But I do know Starship has the far stronger long term flex if they can figure it out than Bezo’s bullshite.

I thought only two were supposed to activate in order to flip it. Is that wrong?

They had planned for 3 but one cut out early during the first burn.

What does Starship have to do with Artemis?

The only SpaceX component that is part of those missions is the lander, which Blue Origin is also working on.

You think a Falcon 9 is carrying that lander to the moon? You think SLA is? Starship is required for that. If Starship can't get certified in time to carry humans, Space X isn't taking part in Artemis.
