That launch was just incredible. Sucks they had so many engine problems, but I'm sure they are getting good data. I do get the feeling though with the test cadence, there is no way this rocket is going to be certifiable for Artemis 2, 3, or beyond.
There's a legitimate chance there's a red flag on the moon before we get there again.

What does Starship have to do with Artemis?
The only SpaceX component that is part of those missions is the lander, which Blue Origin is also working on.

Don't engage with him. He doesn't even realize that Artemis II has already launched and returned home, or he's trolling.

China cant get their Temu Starship to work consistently either.
1st Launch of a V3. Maybe my anticipation didnt meet reality this go. Hopefully FL13 will fix the issue with the booster and the rvac loss on the ship.
Like they said on the live stream, at least one positive is that it proved in can get to its trajectory missing an engine though.

Everything. Starship delays is why they pushed back the moon landing. And Blue Origin is even further behind. They don’t even have a theoretical mission concept yet.

Man they should have installed a camera on one of the fake V3 sats to see the Starship leaving it

Wrong, wrong, and wrong.
Blue Origin is ahead of SpaceX with the simplified lander.

The new pez dispenser seems to have removed any chance of the fake sats from sagging down as they leave. Really good changes!

So this is a test of a reusable spaceship for deploying satellites?

Biggest money maker moving forward is getting newer Starlink Sats up for more capacity and speed.

I saw something where they wanted to deploy inference data centers within 5-10 years, I am just trying to figure out if this is for real or a bunch of theatrics to boost the SpaceX IPO.

Couldn't help but be reminded of this when they showed the room at payload deployment.

So looks like some small hiccups of booster shutting down early and 1/6 of the main engines didn’t fire, but overall I assume this is a success?
Re-entry up next.
That video shot exiting the ship was fricking badass.

No. Elon is a Space alien stranded on Earth. All of his companies and efforts have been to build a ship to get back to his home planet. The reusable part is to efficiently ferry fuel to depots along his path home. It's not a perfect system, but he's working with what's available to him on Earth. We are a primitive sort of planet.
