I was reading the Lake Charles Vs. Lafeyette comparison and two people pointed out Space X is coming to South Louisiana. I had heard they were looking at the Exon Property near Forked Island. Any truth to these roomers? If you know some facts or speculation you have heard, would love to hear it.

SpaceX is the target of intense speculation and advanced negotiations regarding a massive land acquisition in southern Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. The rumored development involves up to 136,000 acres of coastal marshland near Pecan Island and Freshwater City, spanning south of Highway 82 to the Gulf of Mexico

There has been some unofficial rumblings about it. Musk has stated in the past that he foresees multiple launch sites along the Gulf in the coming years. It would be awesome of Louisiana did get one. Hell, I'd drive down there to watch them. It'll depend how how badly our politicians frick up the deal.

makes sense. aren't they trying to capture their own natural gas to provide to the site down in texas b/c of the large quantities they use and having to transport it there? I'm sure it would be a hell of a lot easier and cheaper to do that in S. LA than in basically Mexico where Starbase is.

Really, he has some strange obsession with the letter x, even down to his son's name, which is X Æ A-Xii. (It originally was X Æ A-12 but had to be changed because that name literally did not comply with California state regulations on what to name a person.)

His son is usually called Little X by the media for simplicity.

A guy I know oversees a lot of property in south Louisiana and he said the belief is that Space X has offered 10 times property value to purchase. It has to do with waterways necessary to move the huge equipment.

I wasn't paying strict attention to his story but he named the areas and the company he works for. Next time I see him I will try to remember the details, lol.
