There’s actual drone footage of the landing that will be released in the few days.

Don’t listen to this retarded OP

My god you are a fricking idiot.

Watch the video here. I took screencaps from the video myself, and the clouds are identical.

The "double dip" on the horizon, the dark strip up top surrounded by lighter colors, the small cloud at 9 o'clock.

Like others have said, the live satellite feed cuts out when the barge starts rocking, just like satellite TV.

I don't feel like working on the pic in Lightroom, but I guarantee if you bring down the highlights, you'll see the cloud formation is the same. It's just overexposed from the different camera angle

Dude, I get what you're saying about the OP's conclusions but the presentation of the stream just seemed off to the viewer and it wasn't entirely due to the video cutting out. The feed cutting out was expected. It was just so fast, where as previous landings that were shown seemed to take longer to unfold, and the flow seemed more natural. On top of that you'd think they'd have another ship or something out there for another angle. It just seemed odd and I dont think you have to be a conspiracy theorist to recognize that.

No, they would not fake the landing. They can afford to drop a few unmanned rockets here and there at this point.

Engineer (productive member of society): Hmm, the rocket vibrations are causing a loss of signal lock on the satellite transmission. How can we solve this problem so that we can see the entire landing (just like on land)?

Conspiracy theorist (useless member of society): OBVIOUSLY FAKED HUHUHUH DURDURDUR, oh, Mom are my pizza pockets done?

They only have that one drone barge in the entire Atlantic, and nothing else is allowed near it when there's a rocket falling from the sky. That would be a lot of risk and a lot of money just to fill in a 10 second gap in live video, especially considering that the entire landing is safely recorded anyway (it's only the live satellite stream that gets interrupted).

You have to have conspiracy theorist tendencies for the thought that they faked it to even enter your mind.

When it happened, I told my wife that it was a plot to fake the rocket recovery.

The deck of the drone ship was a 3 foot long model.
At the last moment, they turned off their cell phone camera.
A worker quickly placed a 14 inch tall model rocket on the 3 foot long deck.
They turned the cell phone back on.

DING! - Successful landing. - Public fooled.

I will admit that in the Saturday afternoon Kiddie Movie Matinees, back in 1955, Flash Gordon never had any trouble at all landing his rocket wherever he went.

Pretty good landing

They’ve proven they can land them. There have been uncut videos of them doing it. So I have no reason to believe that it didn’t land this time.

Are we going to have a “Apollo was Fake” or 9/11 truthers movement over this?

It cuts out on every single barge landing. Sometimes they land it, and sometimes they don't.

They admit when they don't land it.

This isn't a conspiracy.

Have you dickbags never watched a spacex launch? They’ve landed those rockets a bunch of times live and on video.

Video feed always cuts right as it touches down. I saw the blast effects on the deck right before it touched down.

This is not the first time a video feed has cut out.

Might want to watch Capricorn One folks.

It's literally as simple as the exhaust shaking the barge so that it loses the satellite link. This happens with every barge landing. The cameras keep recording, but the live feed cuts out for a short period of time.

Why does the SpaceX droneship camera cut out?

SpaceX is also not shy about letting their failures be seen. They even make highlight reels of the footage.
