Vaccine mandates for children have not only been considered socially acceptable--even desirable--for years, they have been ruled to be constitutional by multiple court cases.

And ... cue the conspiracy theories. So predictable, so sad that you guys have twisted yourselves into mental knots over this.
But hey ... that sounds like your problem. Good luck.

Currently in MCO southwest terminal
Just overheard a flight going to Baltimore is overbooked and flight to Los Angeles same thing... offering $600-$900 voucher, place to stay and $100 if you pick your own hotel
I hope it's not that way for the flight to MSY
Glad I paid for early bird seating

Yet here you are, presumably a fully grown adult crying about them and calling me stupid.
Airlines: “Get this vaccine or you’re fired. No exceptions”
Airline Employee: “Ok. Bye”
School/University: “Get these vaccines before enrolling. If you can’t, here’s an option for religious exceptions.”
Parents/Student Option 1: “OK. Here’s my form for religious exemption”
Parents/Student Option 2: “OK, we will home school”
So please explain what point you are trying to make logically. Thanks

They're full of bologna! There are no 'weather problems' in the east, the weather is just lovely autumn weather, perfect for outdoor activities.
It's scary that the media blackout on this is pretty complete, and all we hear are 'rumors.'

Except a Google search shows it is being reported on every major news outlet. Neither Southwest or the Southwest Pilots Association have said it is due to opposition to the vaccine mandate in their statements to the press. Here is the union's statement.
quote:
SWAPA is aware of operational difficulties affecting Southwest Airlines today due to a number of issues, but we can say with confidence that our pilots are not participating in any official or unofficial job actions.
Could be BS, and the two links I read did mention the rumor of the mass call outs for sick time. So there really isn't a media blackout.

Flight from HOU through Orlando early Saturday AM got canceled, lone SW person at the airport said due to flooding at Orlando airport.
We decided to fly out of IAH and hear a last call for people flying to Orlando…
Also, had we taken the later flight SW tried to rebook us on, would have been stranded in Baltimore for a day plus so…

Those canned statements are definitely BS.
And I’m sure they would be paid out. Nowhere if you know Pilots they love to stick it to the man. Not saying it’s a bad thing.

Same. Mine was the last to mandate it until the federal government made businesses do their own biding.
From what I hear, my work group is prepared to do the same. This is BS, and people are willing to stand up for what they believe in. We can force the company’s and government’s hands.
Our industry is too vital to the national economy and cannot be replaced overnight.

Southwest's pilots union denies any industrial action is ongoing, but Harteveld said pilots could have organized to arrange in unauthorized action known as a 'work slowdown.'
Come on, someone on here has to be tied to SW… Any truth to this?
