I've been channel flipping and parts of Slidell are wrecked. Power lines down, trees on top of cars, shop floor to celing front windows blown out, residential home roof and tree damage. EMS and cops are on the scene.

I'm not familiar enough with Slidell to know the exact locations.

WTF were they doing with three people reporting the same info on the same map?

Perhaps I'm just stupid but how do absences cost money?

Not that I am in favor of kids not attending school

When did this happen?

At 4:15 am there was a tornado at Cimarron Pkwy and Mason Rd. Not sure he had the location right.

The teachers have to drive to frick the students instead of just hooking up in the parking lot. It runs up fuel costs.

Raining like crazy on Plash Island in Gulf Shores

Passed that way on Saturday. Hope that Ship Wreck Kelly’s can revitalize and update that old restaurant and grocery store. Would be a cool drinking spot on the Bon Secour river.

Things have certainly really quieted down in the NOLA area. Are we expecting another wall of storms?

It is over for New Orleans. Other than a lot of standing water.

My mom is in Pirate’s Harbor & my sister is in Slidell off 190 near Lacombe. Both lost power. Mom (pretty close to where one of the tornados hit) said it was pretty scary for awhile but she’s good & has her power back now. My sis is still without. A friend’s business has some substantial damage.

Dumb to not divert to Baton Rouge or Lafayette and stay behind the system.

Southwest would rather burn in Hell than go to Baton Rouge (see Katrina)

They receive funding based on average daily attendance.

Southwest has diverted to Baton Rouge before but they'll try to go somewhere with Southwest services first, hence Panama City. Though Jackson would have been a better choice behind the system because now they're in Panama City stuck up shite creek.

Sounds like things are done here, now it’s just a matter of the water coming down and drying out.
