Can someone (Duke) possibly provide an explanation of how snow is likely in northern louisiana but it’s likely all rain in eastern Tennessee and parts of western NC?

so what is the consensus. I would try to read the images with predictions but I prefer to get my weather assessment from the OT directly. Thinking chances in Shreve/ Alex/ Bawcomville/ possibly BR and Laffy?

Simple answer. The deep trough containing cold air lifts out before it heads east. It interacts with the surface low at the perfect time over TX/LA to produce snow before it loses upper level support eastward
