The Field Spot:
A large, yellow or creamy field spot (the spot where the watermelon rested on the ground) indicates the melon ripened fully on the vine and is likely sweet.
A pale green or white spot suggests the melon was picked too early and might not be as sweet.

Two days, but I killed three apparently sibling adolescent copperheads right by my basement door then almost stepped on a giant timber rattler on a trail in the Pisgah.
First summer we’ve skipped Montana in many years. Kinda regretting that decision.

Someone told me today there’s been counterfeit roadside Washington parish watermelons - the audacity.

visited my sister last year and she bought some seedless watermelons. That’s the only way to go but they are seasonal so they can be difficult to get.
What the hell do you plant in order to get a seedless watermelon?

Sugartown melons are the best! They have them at NuNu’s in Youngsville and Scott. Get them while they last.

Not a watermelon eater but would have friends bring a couple and would float them in the blue springs in the river when we would hang out. 100 degrees with the water being 68 degrees and good tunes. To relive my youth!

WTF does this have to do with watermelon?

Cut a hole, pour some Titos in there. You'll thank me later.

b) I thought this was a Southern problem thread
c) my leg and my dogs’ noses would’ve swelled up like two watermelons had we been bitten
