Yep, my Davis shows a dewpoint of 52 and a temp of 58. That won't produce severe weather.

This is expected. Dews are going to have to build throughout the day and be helped by the LLJ shifting flow out of the due South. Moisture near the coast was swept out by a front a couple of days ago and are just now starting to return, otherwise we'd already see dews on the increase.

Is Lake Charles even in the warned zone?

Nope, it’s just the typical jumping the gun and panic scenario

Lake Charles is in the Enhanced area, including the 10% hatched area for tornadoes.

Things are very very calm here in NOLA. think a lot of people rethinking closing decisions based on that, but the storms aren’t even here yet

What??? All I’m seeing is light green on KPLCs radar.

If you’re going to shite post here, you should at least get a decent radar app. Go and get RadarScope, then you can be a weatherman.

What time are things supposed to get bad in NOLA? Can’t decide when to leave the office.

You can't make that kind of call on your own?

It looks like if it actually does get bad it’ll be at 3-5ish

Looks like west JP and the NS have a lot more to be worried about than Orleans

It's about a 15 mile variance. It could easily put New Orleans in the bad stuff.

Wind gusts of up to 17mph here north of downtown St. Amant. Not sure of the conditions closer to the CBD.
