This is as much a spiritual emergency as a climate emergency. America needs to repent

Seeing a storm like that in the middle of the night lit by lightning getting closer and closer is about as bad as it gets.

Why won't this damn line just move east, it has stayed in the same place for hours. And not a good place for us.

es they are horrible. Nothing but corporate BS on that channel. Reality shows and documentaries without much real time weather coverage. You're better off watching Internet people or your local TV channels.

It’s the strangest thing I’ve seen since the history channel went reality tv.

I mean hell it’s not that hard, if you don’t want to hire studio people contract with Ryan Hall or whoever online and just let them handle it.

But this isn’t just an annoyance, it’s a potential public safety issue, if you want to be a weather channel you have a certain obligation to let people know when life threatening weather is occurring or you should stop calling yourself “The Weather Channel”.

It's been a super long night here in Nashville. I had some nice rotation come over the house. Luckily, nothing on the ground, but the clouds were scary as they swirled overhead in the lightning.

EDIT: This is why you shouldn't listen to weathermen who say "go to an interior room." That's not gonna do shite for you when an EF4 plus hits you.

Dumb as frick logic. I would say probably less than 10% of the population has a safe room, so the safest path from a tornado is the most interior room in the house.

The only thing I use WC for anymore is their app to keep up with the forecast for where I'm at and a few other of our favorite vacation spots and hometown in PA but that's it. Every now and then I'll watch a video of their long-range forecast or of a weather event but most of their videos are just pedaling the climate change garbage.

If you're dumb enough to believe the shite they are pedaling you, then there's no helping you.

This has to be a living hell for Tennessee weather wise. Get monster tornadoes come through, then get other tornadoes not far from that point, then to top it all off, we’ll keep throwing torrential downpours over and over the same areas in waves over multiple 6+ hours one after another. It’s like a literal beating

That’s just false. We’ve had major tornado outbreaks in this country for as long as records have been kept. We’ve had major flooding events for as long as records have been kept. It’s April, severe weather events like this are common. Some years are more active than others, but to suggest that we are seeing more severe weather than we used to or more intense severe weather than we used to is just incorrect.
