So....no more cough meds with codeine...no more cold meds with phenylephrine, and clorox..

Yep...damn purple drank got that cough option taken off the market completely, and now anything with Phenylephrine, which was substituted for pseudoephedrine in many non-prescription cold and allergy medicines after the latter was restricted amid reports of idiots making meth out of it, is probably gone as well.

Try the unisom version with
Doxylamine succinate..that's the crap in Nyquil that actually knocks you out...the other unisom versions are just diphenhydramine which is Benadryl.

If true then this sucks.. cough syrup w/codeine is the only thing that will knock out my cough every couple years when i have a bad one, so that i can actually rest and heal up.. think i still had some left over from my last bad cough 3 yrs ago that i just threw out, so now im screwed if i need some again .

The FDA began restricting its use for children's cough remedy in 2017.... Just anecdotal but I can remember anytime myself or children had a illness with a bad cough we always got prescribed cough syrup with codeine. I cant remember the last time I was prescribed it and I feel like a crack head asking for it, but it sure as hell worked better than anything else.
