Watching these clips of her and Kelce, and I don’t get it.
I got TWO ESPN notifications yesterday about Taylor swift being at the game yesterday, and another earlier in the week.
It’s obviously being force fed by the media machine. The girl appeals to young females. The NFL is more worried about targeting new audiences than galvanizing their core base.
It’s really why I haven’t tuned into a game in years, it’s not a protest, it’s just not that interesting. As a guy that grew up cheering for multiple teams, begging for NFL merch, calculating my fantasy scores with the newspaper the next day, and now a dad with two young boys, It even surprises me that I could care so little about pro sports at this point in my life. It’s how I grew up. I think the primary driver is I can’t point to the tv and identify a role model, or admirable behavior. It’s become just a big show of look at me behavior.
I know nobody cares what I think, but I nevertheless find it interesting their strategy is not at all about growing the game, it’s about growing the appeal. I don’t think that’s deniable.

Bizarre people.
I remember when Tool's last album went #1 over Taylor Swift and they were losing their minds.
Those same people also go way too far stalking, sending death threats, etc. to people she writes songs about and their family members. Taylor has a massive platform to get these people to knock it off, but I personally think she enjoys her fans doing this to the people she feels wronged her.

She’s worth probably close to a billion $ and not ugly. What dude wouldn’t want that?

It’s one thing to be extremely popular like she has been for years but it’s another to have the cult following she does now and the idol worship has become nauseating. She’s a good singer/entertainer, not Jesus.
This isn't any different than pop and rock stars throughout history. The Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, etc., etc.

I think it’s mostly 12 year old girls and their moms infatuated with her
This is what's different about current times. The Peter Pan syndrome.
Teenage girls have always latched onto the latest pop star craze. But now adult women are tagging along acting like idiots who never grew up mentally and emotionally. Society has given them permission to act like children in perpetuity. This country has a serious immaturity problem.

I think the question is why
Usually an artist either has a a huge sex appeal for fairly unique sound/act to get to that level
She doesn’t seem to have any of the above. It’s not that she is bad, but I don’t get either why she exploded
Adele and Gaga aren’t sex appeal either, but their talent and sound is fantastic. Spears amd Jlo didn’t have that much of a talent but their sex appeal was off the charts
Swift is none of the above
Not that the others don't have "good" or catchy music, but Swift's music appeals to a mass of people that even those others you named that are massively famous, they can't reach the audience Swift does.
I sorta agree in that it's hard to grasp, but I do think it's that simple, her music is just THAT much more desired compared to any other artist probably since Michael Jackson.

Do you mean evolutionarily a failure? Maybe biologically?
Genetically?
No. I think the fact she has failed to find a stable relationship and have a child is a red flag that signals she has inferior genetics.
Mental illness is genetic to a huge degree.

She’s also genetically a failure being that she’s 33 and childless.
Because this is how women should be measured? What about men?

So because she focused on her career over having children/having a family and is now the most famous musical artist and worth over half a billion dollars at only age 33, she is a failure/inferior human being?
What kind of planet do you some of you people live on?
ETA: Curious, what year were you born?

I'm not sure what you meant by this.
Quibble on, though. It's such a strong argument.

She is the most famous pop star on earth and is set to make a billion dollars (not an exaggeration) from her current tour.
All of this is false.

Who is currently, right now, a bigger pop star than Taylor Swift?

I read too quickly and thought you wrote biggest star (omitting "pop"). I concede that point.
As to your second pt, she made about 300 mil off the tour. It brought in over a billion. Still nothing to sneeze at.

Harry Styles and BTS are both arguably bigger. I’m racking my brain to think of an American artist that is out-performing T-Swift on her current tour, though.

Maybe just because of the international aspect, but its probably still Taylor Swift because, well, America.

The girl next door vibe and rich as hell. I can see why.

The only one in the same ballpark as Taylor Swift right now is The Weeknd.
