The left lane is so you can drive in a leisurely pace without having those scary fast drivers pass by your window.

The left lane is where assholes who feel the need to regulate other peoples speed on the highway drive slowly causing others to drive dangerously around them.

If you are in Louisiana or Mississippi, it's for 20 year old pickup trucks to drive half the speed limit.

I rarely go more than 10 over on the street. I stay in the right lane if I'm not overtaking.

Not here in Colorado. Here it's for the guy driving the Sentra to pull into at the bottom of a 15 mile grade up to Monument Pass. His car won't do the speed limit on flat land so he's going to be doing about 60 in the left lane all the way to the top of the hill.

The left lane -also known as the "neighbor lane"- is the lane designated for people to pull even with another vehicle and go the same fricking, slow-arse speed for as many miles as possible, as if they are neighbors chatting across a fence.

I love the left lane. I get in it and usually never have to worry about slow people in the right lane. Plus, I get to go whatever speed I want without interruption unless it is bumper to bumper. It is a lot better of a drive if I do 60 in the left lane than the right.
