re: Somebody explain adults who go to Renaissance festivals.

There are people who think we are weird for cheering on kids throwing footballs.

Everyone has there thing, and I am not judging how people enjoy their time and money.

I will 100% be getting some friends together soon to do this.

They're usually just people that are really into that specific time period of history. It's not that much different than civil/revolutionary war reenactors.

Went in high school and spent $40+ blasted one of the guys with whole tomatoes. My arm was trash for my baseball game that night.

Why do adults play video games, go to ComicCon, play D&D, go to Civil War re-enactments, mystery murder dinner theater, and a bunch of other nerdy stuff? Because they like it and it makes them happy. What's it to you?

I’m just now reading the comments. I wasn’t criticizing those people, not at all. I am glad they enjoy themselves. And I can’t think of anything that interests me more than a chainmail bikini.

- The jousting is entertaining. I used to take a group of pretty girls who were into contuming. Often as princesses but also as various superheroines like Wonder Woman and Sexy Alice in Wonderland.

Some of you really just need some joy in your lives. Do something that makes you happy; Don't concern yourself with what others do to earn theirs.
