That's how he handles his work as well.

There are people who think we are weird for cheering on kids throwing footballs.

Everyone has there thing, and I am not judging how people enjoy their time and money.

They're usually just people that are really into that specific time period of history. It's not that much different than civil/revolutionary war reenactors.

It wouldn't be a day on the OT if there wasn't some boomer thread complaining about adults having hobbies that don't revolve around watching/worshipping grown men that play sports or sitting around watching TV.

Went in high school and spent $40+ blasted one of the guys with whole tomatoes. My arm was trash for my baseball game that night.

Why do adults play video games, go to ComicCon, play D&D, go to Civil War re-enactments, mystery murder dinner theater, and a bunch of other nerdy stuff? Because they like it and it makes them happy. What's it to you?

All easy to get in one place.
Tits, chicks, and liquor.
Seems fun.

I’m just now reading the comments. I wasn’t criticizing those people, not at all. I am glad they enjoy themselves. And I can’t think of anything that interests me more than a chainmail bikini.

I can say I don’t get it, because I don’t really get it. Carry on.

"It was a most gaudy and gorgeous crowd, as to costumery, and very characteristic of the country and the time, in the way of high animal spirits, innocent indecencies of language, and happy-hearted indifference to morals. It was fight or look on, all day and every day; and sing, gamble, dance, carouse half the night every night. They had a most noble good time. You never saw such people. Those banks of beautiful ladies, shining in their barbaric splendors, would see a knight sprawl from his horse in the lists with a lanceshaft the thickness of your ankle clean through him and the blood spouting, and instead of fainting they would clap their hands and crowd each other for a better view; only sometimes one would dive into her handkerchief, and look ostentatiously broken-hearted, and then you could lay two to one that there was a scandal there somewhere and she was afraid the public hadn’t found it out."

- The jousting is entertaining. I used to take a group of pretty girls who were into contuming. Often as princesses but also as various superheroines like Wonder Woman and Sexy Alice in Wonderland.

Not sure I would ever get dressed up to go but they’re fun. Not as fun as a good night at Medieval Times but still a good time to be had.

Some of you really just need some joy in your lives. Do something that makes you happy; Don't concern yourself with what others do to earn theirs.

I agree. While these things are not something I would enjoy, if someone does....go for it. We all do some weird shite to get through life.
