Some positives: Communities seem to be coming together during this

This always seems to happen during a time of crisis, but the coming together of communities during times like this always give me a semblance of hope
Young people volunteering their time to help elderly right now with groceries, yard work, etc
Every evening when I go on my run, everyone seems to be out in their yards working, playing, etc and everyone seems to make it a point to say "Hi" or wave
Authors, artists, fitness people, all putting out some amazing free content for everyone (seriously we can't keep up with all the content being put out for kids right now)
Local businesses being over backwards to accommodate customers (some local restaurants are hiring bands for the drive-thru lanes) and seeing the support (although I don't know how long it can last)
I'm an optimist, so these are the types of things that I enjoy seeing

Everybody on the OT is at each other’s throats

It helps that I'm pushing a super cute 1 year old
Maybe that is why they are so nice

American manufacturing stepping up to meet needs has been the best outcome so far.
We need to move manufacturing back to this country.

I saw a lot of people helping the elderly and it was really nice to see.
I think it’d be pretty cool to open up drive-in theaters too. It’s been pretty nice in the evenings.

That's because the OT is a preview of hell.

My community has been together well before this
Everyone very friendly and always saying hi.
But it’s coming together even more now, people going out of their way helping if they can

When you say run. . . do you mean streaking?
Difficult times reveals more about character than good times. It always proves there are enough good people in the world to make it work. If you step outside of the political bickering, most people have the common goal of living a peaceful and healthy life and still believe in good will. Just my $.02.

Unfortunately, people are short sighted and will go right back to being selfish assholes when this is all over.
I hope I'm wrong.

It is good to see diverse neighborhoods here (Atlanta) (and by diverse I mean politically for the most part) putting stuff aside to get through
I still think this country lacks fundamental tenets that bind us and that this will only get worse, but if you lived on Twitter or MSM for the last few years you wouldn't really think it would be possible for people to rally together, and yet it's still happening to some degree.

How will that be accomplished aside from heavily regulating corporations and basically compelling them to set up shop here versus China or Southeast Asia? And when you force them, they'll simply jack up the price of consumer goods to account for the cost of higher wages, health care, etc.

I thought it was nice that so many people complied peacefully when jbe told us to give up our guns

my neighbor told me that he has a loaded gun in every room in his house and that if shite goes south, that me and my family are always welcome in his house for protection
I'm not sure why he doesn't think I have guns, but I appreciated the intensity in which he was willing to protect my family

Our neighborhood facebook group posted an idea to have kids go outside and and draw on the driveways/sidewalks with chalk. Within a few hours there were tons of pictures of the kids "artwork" being posted. My neighbor and her two kids did an amazing job with their "project".
Next up we are going to all try to plan to go outside with a glass of wine(or drink of choice)every day at 6:00PM and talk from our driveways.
It has been nice seeing so many people out and about. There has been a strong push to support the local restaurants that are still serving to-go meals as well.
Many have volunteered to go pick up medical items and groceries for the elderly.

When this all settles, I'm curious to see if the 'Chicken littles' and 'this is nothing' factions keep a running hatred.
