Mouton, are you and tgrbaitn ready to admit that I was right?

You've had plenty of time to research this issue.

I didn't realize you were a woman.

This case is dismissed as moot. Move along.

Never bought a car in a private sale with any kind of refund or warranty.
Always sold a car in as-is condition both stated and in print.
I think the buyer knew that IMO.

Sport, as I recall, this thread turned on the legal issue of Redhibition Wikipedia Link which is somewhat exclusive to Louisiana law and impacts remedies buyers may seek from sellers of material goods (vehicles, houses, etc.).

I'm going to guess from your post that you've never heard of redhibition.

Did you have the bill of sale say it was being sold as is? If so tell him to eat a bag of dicks.

Is it so stupid to think that the SULC grad at the AG's office in the great state of Louisiana would need a couple of years to dig into this and get a reply drafted for Mouton?

Raises hand about twenty times (mostly for work).

They were all new vehicles.

And it always has worked out fine.

Now who buys a shitty used car without a test drive?

i am as honest as possible when it comes to selling anything used. i definitely state "as is" always and if i knew something was having issues i let it be known.

You mean when I put my house up for sale I have to tell prospective buyers about the enormously bitchy neighbor next door who will make their lives a living hell? frick that.

What a strange bump.

What kind of loser bookmarks a thread like this, then bumps it 2 years later to try and rub something in someone's face?

I'd also like to thank you for bumping this thread so I could upvote upgrayedd's comic meme he posted on page 1, 2 years later. I feel he used it properly and it definitely deserved another upvote 2 years later.

For that, I thank you TSLG, even though you're a loser for bumping this thread.

Eta - here's the pic upgrayedd posted...
