I'm doing fine, but I've got to think there's a point to where you have so little it's better to have less to get government assistance. So if you are trending that direction, YOLO.

Do you realize how little you have to make to get government assistance?
This is an article talking about people probably making between 50-75k/year, not 15-20k/year.

It’s just another sign of self-centered, now now now behavior

It's more like, I can have a couple of nice vacations and a slightly older Camry or a $65k Tacoma. Which set of choices is better?
This is such a bug man perspective
A Tacoma is a Camry drivers idea of what a truck is. No real truck man would drive one
And aren’t you like 40? That’s not a millenial that’s a boomer

“A real truck man”. Now that is something to shoot for.

Food, water, and bullets will be worth more than this monopoly money our government prints at will when the shite hits the fan.

Y’all could afford a real man truck if y’all didn’t go to Disney so much

I didn’t want to be the millenial that said that half of millenials retirement plan is the collapse

If you’re a man, yeah, but to get food stamps as a woman you have to be a single mom that makes less than 500k

Read “Die with Zero.” It discusses the thought process behind this line of thinking.

It’s been beat into people’s heads for a decade+ that it’s better to spend on experiences than on things.
I guess you’d rather keep up with the Joneses. That’s fine if that’s what you want.

I avoided this by never creating a bucket list.

The people in this thread looking down on us for not going to Disney and Harry Potter in England probably still rent

We should be taking no leads ever from Gen Z. What a stupid idea to think they have it figured out.
I don’t think they realize they’re directly related
ETA: the idea that you should only do things that make you happy seems really wreckless. Life has inevitable challenges and you need to prepare for them. Unreal.

Three in four Gen Z would rather have a better quality of life than extra money in their banks, the Intuit report shows.

Some people value experiences over items

I’d much rather spend 10k every year on traveling than a new ATV or gun or some shite

ETA: none of our trips are broadcasted on social media

silver
If we're in a collapse of civilization I would laugh at anyone trying to offer me silver for anything like guns, bullets, food or water.

It may be like that for some people, but it is most definitely not like that for the people plastering their travels all over instagram.
