I don’t know anything about our tax system, but even if there was a tax on every item purchased .0002 wouldn’t that cover the deed it if it all went into the pot and not stolen?

Yeah. I'd be fine with cutting all SS benefits RIGHT THE F*** NOW. But we all know it's not gonna happen. They'll raise the age at which you can withdraw benefits without penalties (like they've already done) or they'll raise the amount withheld. FDR was every bit as communist as Stalin when it came to raping the American worker to create his social[ist] programs and congress wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth when they were already drooling over all the ways they could enrich themselves with a simple vote on a bill. Constitutionality be damned.

The only way you get money is if the generations after you pay for it.

That is the major flaw in the system.

My proposal:

Raise benefit age, probably +3 years

Reduce who receives benefits and/or cut benefits when beneficiary dies - for spouses / children

Reduce eligibility for disability and make it required to resubmit for eligibility every few years. SSDI is full of little-f “fraud”.
