The only person who sounds like a Democrat in here is you with your hyper-emotional takes justifying receiving welfare.

Get educated and get a job.

Wait!!! Scruffy has convinced me!!! I need to forgo 50 years of paying into the system so Scuffy’s daughter has a future, even though he’s a billionaire.

So you believe they still have everyone’s money?
We all know that money is long since gone. Spent on everything but what it was there for. But, since we're no longer on the gold standard and the government can just print money out of thin air, then why shouldn't a chunk of that ethereal cash be printed and returned to those who have paid into the Ponzi scheme in the first place? It won't have the value it had when we paid into the system, but it'll have more value than now than what it will have in the future.

Pretty sure they said the same thing six years ago. And six years before that
Nope. They did not.

You want to devalue our currency even more and frick over the nation’s future so you can get a pitiful $2k per month?
Hot damn…

Not true. SS is pretty good about only being spent on SS recipients

These guys convinced themselves that maintaining SS and stealing from the young is the conservative position.
They are just old progressives, honestly.

I don’t have children and I don’t care about yours. It’s not my responsibility.

If the MAGA era has taught you anything, it should be that many "conservatives" were just people waiting for palatable leftist policies to support when they benefited them or it was socially acceptable to hold the policy position. This is why populism is inherently a leftist organization/philosophy.
Then they do the leftist thing and accuse you of what they're doing.

You are wrong there. In many years social security ran surpluses, and those surpluses were not put in escrow; they were spent on other things.

Not really. I have paid my dues. Lost a son. But I am tired of listening to your sanctimonious asses.

Im more educated and better employed than you are. I dont want my daughter's tax money to fund my retirement, much less a bunch of frickin bums who didn't plan for it.

My daughter’s money should go to her and her alone.

The nation's currency is devaluing at a tremendous rate already. I don't want a measly $2,000 a month in another ten years when it's only worth about $700 by then. I want it returned right now. In full.
The best way would be to crack down on all the fraud and wasteful spending on endless failed programs and projects that exist only to get someone reelected by claiming they "brought the money home." Neither of those things are going to happen. But, since they're printing worthless money anyway, why not just print a little more of it? Not like it's gonna amount to a drop in the bucket when all is said and done for a nation that bases it's wealth on debt.
Most of us won't see nearly the amount of what we paid into SS returned to us before we kick the bucket. It's been a scam from day one.
