It's zoned Residential Multifamily. The facility may have started out as a small private field, but it has definitely evolved into a commercial level enterprise. That it would make it fall under different regulations and taxes.

They should apply for a conditional use permit and then go through the proper zoning process.

The club/travel team model has ruined youth sports. To play any sport beyond 10 years old you are forced to commit thousands of dollars to participate and travel hours to play games. Rec level talent is forced to participate in the elite level system because of the stranglehold that travel sports now has on youth athletics.

I guess that restraining order didn’t last long.
We have a game out there today.

I agree but the law prob doesn’t. Also once you stir up a nest of Karen’s no amount of telling them to calm down will make them calm down.

The parish has backed off. The court appointment has been canceled by the parish. The parish is "negotiating" with Force

Not sure how you define success, but BRSC isn’t “moving” to ECNL. They were kicked out of GA because they performed so poorly. They lost 20 straight games with the youngest team. From a talent standpoint, they would definitely be concerned with Force. That said, they really don’t care about putting good teams out there as long as they draw as many kids and as many $$$ as possible. Their facilities are a joke compared to everywhere else

Forfeiting multiple games as well complaints about BRSC parents from other teams were other reasons they were booted. Obviously the boys had to leave MLS next tier two in order for the girls to go to ECNL – RL. They weren’t going to take the girls without the boys. That part of all this is actually beneficial for the boys. The fact that they were playing crappy teams all over Texas just to say they were playing MLS next second division was beyond absurd. It's going to be interesting to see if they quit the LESP charade and just go back to BRSC black as their top team.

Is this Force team ECNL? If this is NPL or RL then I doubt on how committed the club is into actually developing players. Sounds like he’s got a good cash grab going now though

One of my kids plays at the ECNL level and her club owns 3 different locations with 5-7 fields at each place here in FL. Yeah we spend some money but she makes good grades and it’s all she wants to do.

He was there first. I know folks who have been going there for years and all have nothing great to say about that man. He’s helped put a bunch of girls in college soccer programs in the last year or two. God forbid somebody bring something positive to a bunch of kids. Screw those people.

BRSC is a joke. Their league has so much potential and they could have a strong recreational program up to 8th grade for boys and girls but instead they would rather not return calls and emails from kids who want to play.

Their staff has got to be the laziest group of people running a sports league in the south. They never answer the phone and it can take 20 emails to get one response and they won’t even give you a full answer.

Their contract with BREC needs to be revisited

Sounds like the lights went up 2 months ago. Marked difference from just the fields/complex.

Google Maps supports this. Neighborhood is there and no lights.

Yall late to the party. This issue is all but resolved. They have all the permitting and just waiting for the parish to give the go ahead. Construction on the new fields is to resume next week. Flight on the other hand…their time is coming to an end soon

No they just play LCSL which is Louisiana Classic Soccer league. It's the old USYS stuff where you compete for state to go to regionals/nationals etc. I don't think they could even fill out the age groups to aspire to any other league. But it's a good alternative for BRSC families because of the shite show BRSC is.

Hopefully, I always hated going to that piece of shite field and the way they treated my autistic son left a bad taste in my mouth.

I grew up in this neighborhood where Dunham's football/soccer field is now. Those lights light up the whole neighborhood when they have football games or soccer matches. I was a kid when the woods were cleared there and the football field built for Calvary Heights School. I don't recall anyone complaining back then up til 2024 when we sold my mom's house down the street(you can see the lights from her front yard).
It never seemed to be an issue.
