October is the best month of the year. I know it rhymes, but don’t waste a month like October. Make it January or February.
How about “dry July?”

I usually do a sober Feb/March. Football is over so it gives me a chance to refocus and lose some weight.

January works better for me. Come out of that Football/Thanksgiving/Christmas/NYE stretch and give your body a good reset before Mardi Gras

July is a solid month too though. I’d put it as third behind October and May.

Go with February. It is short and only real sporting event is the Super Bowl.

My last drink was back in July. Last fall I started eating healthy and quit beer. Kept my bourbon, but this spring I had cut way back, really only having 1 or 2 on weekend nights then. Started ramping up the exercise and the only way I remember it was July was we went to a cookout on the 4th and I had my first and only beer since last October. Then we went to visit relatives the last weekend of the month and I had a couple at dinner with my dad. There is half a bottle of bourbon in the house that I haven’t touched since then. Not saying I’ve quit for good as I’ll have some occasionally but it really messes with your health long term. Now that we’re in the midst of football season I’m sure there will be some Saturday nights I sit on the deck watching a game with a glass.

Yeah, no.

Mardi Gras is in February.

Best months to not drink are the boring hot ones- June, July, August.
