I respect that but no, I love my beer and I don't feel like shite all the time like some folks here say they do when they drink.

But I will go clean for a week at a time sometimes when I feel like I'm getting a little fat on me.

You have massive insecurity issues. Go outside and touch some grass. Or shite I don’t know, go have some drinks since apparently a bunch of strangers not drinking frustrates you. A few baws stating they are not drinking shouldn’t rile a grown man up this much.

It’s honestly pathetic to see.

Same as all the other ones who need to witness as to how wonderful sobriety is when nobody asked for their testimonials.
You never know the struggles someone is facing. That testimony in passing could certainly open up the conversation to someone changing their life for the best. You should read a bit about the Crab Mentality.

well the first step in going sober when you're not actually an addict is making sure you announce it and remind people of it all the time...so you're off to a great start!

AF since 12/26/24. I've got a lake house that I spend every weekend at. It was surprisingly easy not drinking and being around others getting crocked every weekend and for years I was one of them. Not saying that I'll never drink again, but I'm content right now.

Went sober a little over 2 years ago. Did it to strengthen my relationship with Christ and it has really made my life so much better. It was an adjustment period with the social aspect but eventually I learned how to enjoy myself in those situations without drinking.

Mental clarity has been the biggest positive I've seen yet!

Portion differential also. Restaurant dinner entree in US can usually feed two with ease.

My family has horrible addiction genetics. One of the reasons I don’t do drugs or drink.

Have a few kids. Nothing will make you want to quit drinking faster than being hungover with a couple of toddlers annoying the shite out of you all morning.

Anyone else just decided to go sober 100% and how’s that going? Was social settings an adjustment? That’s the only time I drink now anyway.

Same here, but my business requires a steady ingestion of socially motivated alcohol. When you are drinking decent amounts 4 nights a week on boondoggle dinners and booster events, it adds up. I'm not even close to being an alcoholic but I'm considering selling my businesses and getting out altogether by 2030.

I can see in that future me not drinking at all, and I likely won't miss it. That being said, I do have a deep love for rare whiskey... but I'm at the point where I have dozens of bottles that I can casually enjoy in retirement.
