AF since 12/26/24. I've got a lake house that I spend every weekend at. It was surprisingly easy not drinking and being around others getting crocked every weekend and for years I was one of them. Not saying that I'll never drink again, but I'm content right now.

I worked with an AFL team for several years. When the league started, players were paid baseline salaries with some incentives. They were able to get a CBA per say and teams were unable to pay the salaries the players were demanding. That is at least part of the reason the league was not sustainable.

We had money left after our boys graduated, but not near that much, $6k I think. We left it alone and are saving it if/when we have grandkids down the road.
