Self-confidence, bearing, physical fitness, etc. matters for guys. That should be obvious for many, but it isn't for some reason. Also, I think it's no secret that modern dating dynamics probably aren't healthy for a lot of men, either unless you're college-educated and live in a major metro area.
I can do without most of the rest. The self-loathing, the misogyny, intentionally treating people like crap. You'll piss off ten times as many people - men and women - trying to pull some of the stunts those cantankerous miserables than you will actually attract.
Nailed it. I go there for the first paragraph.

But this is all common sense. Not a product of TRP thought.
Also if you think this is 80% of TRP then

you go there to have a bunch of other dudes tell you that you need to have your shite together if you want to date hot chicks?

That's what I was getting at - one would think it is, but it's not. There are way too many guys (maybe even a majority) out there who buy into the "just be yourself" stuff, especially among the younger crowd. "A generation of men raised by women" and all that. It's been my experience that only a minority of men are actively trying to improve what they can really bring to the table when finding a relationship.

I don't disagree. Like I said, a few nuggets of truth buried in a mountain of crap. Much of what those people espouse is hateful and counter-productive.

Stupid statement. TRP is a method of transmitting these matters.

It seems like they dehumanize women because they are spiteful that they can't be a worthless loser and still attract worthwhile women. Like they would want that out of a woman either. It's kind of pathetic.
That's how it seems to me at least.

It's a community, brah. Filled with members who are at various stages in their life.

I think you underestimate just how many men in our generation grew up without strong and admirable male figures in their lives...or they bought into too much third-generation feminist crap about what a man's role in society should be.
Like I said before - it's obvious to me and you, but it isn't for many.
It's actually precisely why I like the Art of Manliness and their general approach and philosophy to this stuff - they strike a nice balance of being masculine and confident and eschew the hateful, misogynistic, and deleterious bullcrap.
There's actually another guy who has written a lot about this in a roundabout way - Eric Greitens. He really has a great approach on how to approach this stuff in a modern society.

You probably know nothing about evolutionary psychology oh males/females. Why men and women behave certain ways with regards to mate selection.
To credit everything to a "confidence" thing is laughable.

I think there's some great info on there. However, some of the stories are practically Penthouse Letters made up fan fiction junk.

But "just being yourself" and having your shite together is not mutually exclusive. Unless these people admit that their true selves are lazy pathetic losers.

I know I quoted you, but I was referring to Ocean on this one.

I am actually not sure I'd agree with that for most. Some have the inner drive to where that philosophy bears great fruit, but in such a techno-centric society, "be yourself" all too often morphs into being an unmotivated, ill-thinking, and entitled sloth.
I think there is some value to seeing dating as, at least in part (but certainly not in its entirety), an economics and social value game. It can motivate people to get off their arses and start to make shite happen. However, most of the Red Pill/PUA types amplify it to an extreme and use it for nefarious purposes.

People who don't know anything about women.
It's true that women are attracted to confidence but that's is only part of the equation. But women can sniff out fake confidence like a fox. They have instinctive abilities of this.

Men are fricking idiots. they cannot tell what a woman is thinking. TRP has some good advice for this.
I am married but i have read it on how to do things with my life.
I think the big issue is that many red pillers hate women. Not just misogyny, but actual loathing of women. Its pretty disgusting.
But I have heard from my friends that do not have game, the methods on TRP work really well, especially with younger women. or women who are really good looking yet insecure.

I mean, maybe some do, but I think there is a lot less of that than is commonly portrayed. I think a lot of what you think of as hatred of women is actually hatred of a social system that has so openly misportrayed the nature of women.

Yeah , you are right. I scanned a time or two for laughs. It's full of weak so called men who can't just live. What they really need is to get off the fricking computer and go live life. The whole idea is a fricking joke imo and shows just where the men in this country are at in life these days. Man up! Do you really need someone to tell you how to be a man? How to be one that is respected? How to talk to woman? If so, you'll never get it.

People tend to be pretty predictable over large groups...it's just that what is obvious or natural to some may be hard-won insight to others. Men understanding women in 2016 is one of those things. It's like Steve Jobs with the iPhone - it was an obvious customer insight to him but a mind-blowing revelation to most.

Yep - I can't understand why those people are so loathsome. It's like they block out entirely that they have sisters or mothers or grandmothers or aunts they care about, and those same things they're saying about other women apply to them as well.

I guess they can, but I don't try to intentionally manipulate people (and I'm not married). The trick is always not to take anything to extremes - find the balance. Be funny without being obnoxious. Be cool without being aloof. Be confident without being a douche. Take care of yourself physically but don't preen. Work hard and progress in your career but don't obsess. Be well-rounded and well-read. That seems to do the trick for me.

TRP is mostly bullshite. I feel really sorry for anyone who buys into the majority of it. Sure, there's some truth in some of it, but we all know the adage about broken clocks being correct twice a day.
