Have you read this shite?
quote:

In the short term, keep a balance of IOIs, touches, etc. If you touch her a few times and there's no touching back, don't keep investing in a losing game, she's not buying what you're peddling so switch up your presentation or move on to another prospect. Once you've established some push-pull, the amount of her touching, kissing etc should settle into a pattern of 3 from her to 2 from you; this is the Golden Ratio of flirting.

If you're hanging out with a woman and you're thinking about the "Golden Ratio of flirting" then I feel really bad for you.

Is that the one where you tell girls they're stupid c(u)nts and then they'll magically want to sleep with you?

Seems titled more toward the PUA side of things, which I think of as only being a part of TRP in general.

I mean, maybe some do, but I think there is a lot less of that than is commonly portrayed. I think a lot of what you think of as hatred of women is actually hatred of a social system that has so openly misportrayed the nature of women.

meh. I have read TRP, and it seems like hate. Maybe the haters are just more vocal. But like anything, you can take just a piece of TRP.

People tend to be pretty predictable over large groups...it's just that what is obvious or natural to some may be hard-won insight to others. Men understanding women in 2016 is one of those things. It's like Steve Jobs with the iPhone - it was an obvious customer insight to him but a mind-blowing revelation to most.

Oh yeah, I see why guys need it. They are clueless when it comes to women. I was lucky in that my father and grandfather were good with women, so I got to see them in action.

I guess they can, but I don't try to intentionally manipulate people

me too. I am really good at manipulating women, but I intentionally try not to even though it comes naturally to me.

Pua are idiots, masquerading as alpha males. Anybody with half a brain can see it from a mile away.

Males lions with darker manes are perceived as dominating male. If a chump make lion rubs his mane in the dirt, it doesn't make him the alpha.

And I hate using alpha and beta as terminology.

Alpha/beta is a very stupid concept to apply to humans, and the science that the concept is based on (the idea of alpha males in wolf packs) isn't even correct. See: LINK

quote:

The above observations show that, at least in summer, social interactions among wolfpack
members are not very different in intensity or quality from those among members of
any other group of related individuals. Even the much-touted wolf dominance hierarchy
is primarily a natural reflection of the age, sex, and reproductive structure of the group
,
with the breeding male dominating all others posturally and the breeding female
garnering food from the male while she is tending young pups.

The typical wolf pack, then, should be viewed as a family with the adult parents guiding
the activities of the group and sharing group leadership in a division-of-labor system in
which the female predominates primarily in such activities as pup care and defense and
the male primarily during foraging and food-provisioning and the travels associated with
them (L.D. Mech, see footnote)

People who've applied the wolf pack alpha/beta hierarchy to humans are not only asininely projecting wolf social behavior onto humans, they're not even projecting real wolf behavior.

With this said, I'll acknowledge certain truths in TRP philosophy. They talk about valuing your own time and getting what you want out of a relationship. They talk about not deferring to your partner because you think you have to, or she'll leave you. They talk about self-improvement. Those are good things that any person should take to heart--both men and women.

There's just so much "bro science" in TRP that it makes my eyes roll. And I think they exaggerate the differences between men and women a little too much.

Exactly. Seems like men use this to gain their status, either calling themselves alphas(moving up) or calling others betas(pushing others down). But it's a cheap trick. Bragging oneself great doesn't make one great.

I agree with this. There are parts of it that are beneficial for some males to know. If you aren't your own person with your own priorities, you're going to place any woman you know romantically in the place of that. You're going to look to her to provide your happiness, your daily routine, and sometimes even your meaning in life. There are women out there who do this exact thing with men as well. It is important for both men and women to be their own person and live their own life.. and if they find someone to share that life with, great!

I think some of the advice is given with good intentions to keep "nice" guys from "nicing" their way out of every prospective relationship they find.. but it has just morphed into quite a terrible state. Some of the guys into this stuff think that they are entitled to something.

"I took her on a date, I spent $150 on dinner, I was nice to her and talked to her the whole time.. and she didn't sleep with me. What a fricking bitch!"

I know this is the OT and we joke about this kind of shite, but people are not "owed" anything. You're not entitled to shite, regardless of gender/race/etc.. and this is coming from somewhat of a libtard ;) Asking a girl on a date and paying for her dinner doesn't mean she is now required to sleep with you... but some guys get this in their head and they start hating women as a whole because of it.

I'll add this. The idea that you must be "dominant" to be an attractive male is pure fantasy. Yes, some women are attracted to dominant men. But most women are attracted to confidence, passion, intelligence, and success. You do not have to be dominant to possess those qualities. Life is not and should not be about dominance, it's about finding happiness in whatever way you can. Focusing too much on trying to be "dominant" will only peel away your real personality and make you behave inauthentically. That's a terrible way to live.

It's much better to figure out what things you want in life and from your romantic relationships, and then work on getting those. Value yourself, your time, and what you can offer to others and expect in return. Expect others to treat you well. Take care of yourself. Do that, and you'll probably be happy.

This doesn't describe a guy who is into TRP (unless they have just recently been introduced to it). This is the type of stuff that TRP seeks to eradicate in men.

you forgot number 1 - humor. get a woman laughing and she is yours.

oh and women that are attracted to the dominant male are not the women you want. there will always be a male that trumps you, and you will then be fricked or actually not fricked.

Right, that is what I was trying to say. Guys like that are the guys that find TRP.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like they teach these guys to stop expecting sex/relationships/etc. from women when they do nice things. It just teaches them to stop doing nice things.

The thing is.. if you're a confident, funny, successfully, etc. guy and a woman is attracted to you, doing nice things for her WILL NOT make her unattracted to you.

If you don't possess qualities she finds attractive and she simply isn't attracted to you as a person, then yeah your "nice" stuff isn't going to make her attracted to you.. but the nice actions are not the issue here. It is the initial attraction to who you are.
