When I was a kid the only medication you got for being a mean little bastard was a belt or fly swatter!! This shite is all a hoax by big pharma! Oh yeah, get off my lawn!!

It's not 100% BS, but a lot of it is a quick and easy diagnosis.

It's not bullshite at all. The thing I think is bullshite is that parents think going to a psychiatrist and pumping pills in their kid is what will "fix" them when there are behavioral therapies out there that actually help them.

Too many lazy parents thes days who dont spend enough time stimulating there kid because "they're too busy"

don't know if I'd call it bullsh*t, but believing medicine is needed to fix it is certainly bullsh*t. kids need training and not necessarily just with spanking. Medicine is just a lucrative convenience, and in full disclosure I am well invested in a company that makes adhd medicines.

Not bullshite, but its way over diagnosed.
I cringe at children 8-10 years old taking adderall, guanfacine, and an antidepressant. People are addicted to drugs

An ex-gf of mine was hardcore ADHD and was on adderall and she was not even remotely tolerable to be around if she didn’t take it. Her parents and even her admitted this as well.
It’s definitely over-diagnosed but there are kids that legit have it.

Not bullshite. And there is a difference between ADHD and ADD.
When diagnosed and treated correctly, the difference in kids' performance in school and on standardized testing can be life changing.
Not saying that it's not over-diagnosed and that parents sometimes look too quickly to medicine as a cure all.
But it's real and so are the recommended treatments.
