And I agree Yeti's are overpriced, but I haven't found anything more reasonably priced that has the same benefits.

I'm all ears though!

(even though I already own a yeti and it will last forever)

Im not trying to attack or be an arse, like i said I own a yetti and it is great for a boat because it is heavy. However, if you just need a big icechest to hold ice long, a coleman xtreme and it is $200 cheaper.

ETA: But if you want a Yetti, get a Yetti. Im not one of those people who gets mad or cares.

Yeti coolers are just one of those things that poor people buy to give others the impression they have money to burn while also ensuring they will continue their paycheck to paycheck ways.

I have a YETI and love it. My buddy is a K2 Cooler dealer and they are just as good as the YETI and are just a little bit less expensive.

I don't own the cooler, too poor for that, but the Yeti tumbler is excellent. It's still a hefty $35 to get the sticker.

Same here, they are virtually indestructable, which is why they cost more than Igloos/Colemans. I am very hard on icechests when it comes to my outdoor hobbies and I like the fact that I never have to deal with a hinge, latch, handle or anything breaking on it while I'm using it. That's what makes the 300 bucks worth every penny for me.

Been looking into getting another chest and I've looked at those. Tough to nail down what I want, because Yeti, K2, Pelican, Icey-tek and Engel all have nice durable icechests now. Probably going to boil down to dimensions of the chest as to where I'm wanting to use it in my boat. Although the hardware on the Icey-Tek and Pelican are steering me away from them.

I'm guessing the 3rd time the ice chest testing was linked... I wasn't going through 7 pages to see if it was posted.

Bottom line is, Yeti's are the Costa's of ice chests. People buy them so they can say they have one, but there's much better out there!
